it did, wads. especially if you have any interest in Arthurian legend. it's just crap. not even a good battle scene. i saw it because i love Clive Owen but not even he (badly miscast i might add) could save this piece of dung.

Wow, that must be bad. Clive Owen was excellent in the BMW films, he should've been the new Bond.

8O i can't BELIEVE anybody but ME watched those!!!! he's grand isn't he!!! did you see the BBC series he did about the detective that was going blind?? really really good. sorry i can't remember the name of it!! yes he definitely SHOULD have been the new Bond!!! i totally agree. (you can't tell i have a crush or anything can you?) i think he should have been cast as Ian Rankin's detective, John Rebus, too. i like the scotish actor who played Rebus but he wasn't really cast well for that role.

Loved those films. I'm pissed that BMW doesn't have them on their site anymore.

I'm not familiar with the series you're talking about, but I'll look for it.

Back on topic....

I can't stand Jack Nicholson, I think he's the most overrated actor in Hollywood. For crying out loud, he's the same in every movie he's ever been in - he never changes. I will say that he was a good Joker, and I think he was good in The Shining. Other than that, I avoid his movies like the plague.

I agree that F. Murray Abraham deserves recognition here, but it's also worth noting that he hasn't done anything worth a crap since.

It's already been mentioned elsewhere what a fine actor Denzel Washington is. My favorite performance by him is in the Civil War movie Glory. The scene where he is being whipped, and a single tear runs down his otherwise stoic face....remarkable acting. (Ignore the fact that Glory is not a very good movie otherwise.)

re: f.Murray Abraham ... you are absolutely right. It is sad in a way. but perhaps, he was just meant to give us that one absolutely stunning portrayal of Salieri. Although his role os the repugnant monk in 'Name of the Rose' was good, if somewhat 2-dimensional.

Ed Harris has been mentioned a lot. I am gald to see. I cannot pick out one role for him. He shines in everything!

Oh, Bruce Willis in 'Twelve Monkeys'. I always knew he had some acting chops since the first 'Die Hard' (showing that tough action men can cry), but it wasn't until this movie that I actually got to see and undderstand him. Great subtle role.

They're from the '04 flick, King Arthur. I thought Brett Favre in 'Something About Mary' is second only to Dan Marino in 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective'.
