Fair enough. If you're willing to admit it as such, what else can we say? Faith is the primary requirement for belief, it can be neither proved nor disproved, because it requires no empirical evidence.

But one cannot expect faith to win any arguments. BUT. it's arrogance to think one's faith is better than faith of another religion.

Agreed. Logically, all faiths are equal.

which is why our Church tells us not to argue with folk about such things. judgement isn't ours to pass on such matters. but as we have pointed out many times, the message of Jesus gets lost somewhere along the way for many.

judgement isn't ours to pass on such matters.
Then whose is it?[/bait]
How else to decide what you believe than by judging what you hear?

The message of Jesus can only get lost if it was had in the first place.

Those who listen to and agree with the messages of other religions may not have lost anything of Jesus' message.

That follows what Loremaster mentioned: it's arrogance to think one's faith is better than faith of another religion.

Judgin people is a tricky proposition in any case, let alone when it comes to religion.

Even when we can tell ourselves that we're judging people on their actions, without knowing the reasons, the cause, the motivations, the background to the action, our judgement is almost worthless, except in terms of ourselves.

It's all interconnected, sgt. You just need to put it all together for yourself. Find a few coincidences, and try to create interconnectivity. You'll find that you can do it with just about anything, and the results will appear reasonable enough to make you slap your forehead and say "Doh! I should have seen that already!".

And thus conspiracy theories are born.

I would think, that if you TRULY believed your religion was the answer, and You TRULY loved your neighbour, you should try to win him/her over. It seems the right thing to do.

well arguing doesn't win many over. we are to live our lives as Jesus taught and be examples first. then if the moment presents, the person already has a good impression of you...
