Thanos Quest was as good a cosmic story as has ever been!! "Reality, like all outside influences, has a minimal effect on my being. I always hold true to myself." The guy's all class! (Except for killing his mother and most of the rest of Titan's Eternals, that is...) The whole Inbetweener part was awesome!!dANdeLION wrote:The only time Thanos lived up to his potential was in the original Starlin run from the mid-70's that ended up with the death of Warlock.
The Beyonder then met an underworld figure named Vinnie, who, seeking to make use of the Beyonder's superhuman powers, became his guide to the world. Under Vinnie's influence the Beyonder sought wealth, pleasure, and power over others. The Beyonder further altered his physical appearance, giving himself black, curly hair; he maintained the form he now had for most of the rest of his existence on Earth.
You cannot be serious. Are you sure this isn't a MAD parody of a superhero comic book? What am I supposed to make of this? A supreme "cosmos" unto himself who turns into a guy with curly black hair calling himself Frank? Frank??? What, Frank Stallone? Who becomes partners with some guy named Vinnie?? Who, Vinnie Barbarino?Other Aliases: Frank
The original Beyonder in Secret Wars I was pretty cool.Matrixman wrote:Wayfriend, didn't know your Beyonder pic was a link. Okay, finally read his bio and am duly impressed. Not being a big follower of Marvel Comics (never was), I'm not familiar with many of their characters. Everything seemed nice and "cosmic" until I got to this part:

Let's see: Vinnie Barbarino - played by John Travolta - who later starred in Stayin' Alive - which featured Frank Stallone singing "Far From Over"
So The Beyonder sings "Far From Over" while he's making his exit from our dimension? This cosmic connection is too lame and at the same time too frightening to contemplate.
