The Death Clock.
The Fatal Revenant clock doesn't like Camino. I can see it in Safari, but not in Camino. *pout*

Now I'm starting to get annoyed. The java takes slightly longer to load than everything else, and now when I open a page (or even click 'back') the whole browser window flickers as it loads that bit.

Yeah, I take back what a said about the clock--at first it was cool, now it's down right obnoxious

I have Java turned off in my browser and haven't seen the clock once.

Ok, ok, I killed the clock. Hehe.
I hope the code I installed doesn't mess the board up at all, and hopefully thing thing will be easy to just disable.
Let me know if anyone is still getting strange or slow load times on the index page. If so, the clock may be messing things up still. I don't think it will, though.-jay

People just don't like change. The idea of it is nice. Talking about it is nice. But when change actually happens, people go apes***t over it. Even when it's something as innocuous as a clock, which happens to count down the most eagerly awaited book around here.
Same with the brown colour scheme, which was immediately hated, and which now can no longer be accessed, even by users who actually like it.

Yeah, you're right. I need to change more stuff around here, just to rile people up.

MM, the only reason I disliked the clock was the reason I mentioned above - the Java loading was affecting my whole browser window, making it flicker every time I went to a page, and that was really getting on my nerves.
Didn't we have a clock counting down to Runes way back when? I don't remember having any problem with that one - I don't think it was Java.

You could do a prank about cannibalism.

Agreed, we need some original material around here.

My problem with the clock (in Firefox for Mac) is that it hovered in one place in the window, even when I scrolled the page. It kept covering up the names and avatars of posters, among other information more useful to me than the (guesstimated) eventual release date of Fatal Revenant.
If you put the clock back, please code it to appear inline instead of floating in front of the window, mkay?

Oops. Sorry, I didn't see this thread until a day after I made one like it in the Gen Dis forum.
