I would if I could. The ABC just rang and spoke to me not five minutes ago - I didn't get the Adjudicator position. What they need is someone with an academic degree in literature, specialising in science fiction or fantasy. If anyone is interested and has these qualifications, please email or pm me and I will direct you to the person who you need to talk to.

As I have said already said mate, I'm sorry. But it's nice to see you being so good about it - shows how great you are.

The same university where I got my undergraduate degree in psyc: University of Queensland. I told the ABC to ring there, as they have a lecturer who has a degree in sci-fi.

Well, that is a bit far away for me. But if I ever hear of one around here, I might finally get my underachieving butt in gear and go to grad school.

The problem is that, to the Australian viewing public, I am essentially a nobody. And what qualifications do I have? therefore, somebody watching will see essentially a fan act as an adjudicator. Hardly the most informed or qualified person, in their eyes. I do not mind at all that they declined me, and hope sincerely that they find another most suitable.
