It is from the Film 'King Arthur' i believe. Which was not very good at all.

I didn't think it was that bad, it rankles most people because it was mor historicly correct and not driven by fantasy or legend. But what do I know, I'm a simple man, and drive a common van, and my dog's a mutt.

I liked the fact that it wasn't fantasy oriented. The whole King Arthur legend bugs me. I just thought the movie wasn't terribly good.

the history wasn't accurate. but don't quote me on that.
oh it was up to a point. i suppose. but bad bad script. just my opinion, not carved in granite.
and a bit melodramatic.
still...the stills of keira. and...um...the costuming was good.

Oh yes. Good costuming. On both ends, for that matter. We should be fair.
And history? Is there any real history? Arthur is a legend, and scraps amount to his reality. At best, he was a tribal warlord who had some success against invading "pathogens".
For me, the legend was interesting until I became an adult. Then it bored me. I mean nothing by that...so nobody can hate me for saying that. No judgements...

no judgements. history is subjective, after all.
i just think the STORY has been told better. it wasn't the aspect of the story that that parTICular production chose to tell...it was the telling. just wasn't good enough. *shrug*

Yeah but you're talking to a guy who BOUGHT the catwoman DVD. I have tried to like that movie, but just can't. Still don't regret buying the DVD though.

Well, in the description of the desert sun's destructive power there were repeated references to "living things" (to the best of my recollection). Maybe since Stonemight Woodhelven was constructed of DEAD trees the desert sun wouldn't melt them?

I suspect that Lumber might last a little better in a dessert sun or pestulent then a living tree. And during the Fertile suns, more wood could have been cut doewn to make posts and lumber, to relace what would have gotten damaged.
