I looove filing taxes, because it always means I get a nice chunk of money back. And Balon. . . you might try ot file anyway, to see if you can get the earned income credit. It's free money.Balon wrote:I don't think I have to file! I didn't make enough!Matrixman wrote:Doing my taxes this weekend.
Or not.
Yay for poorness!

Looks appealing, I'll give i that much now!
I'll be checking that out in the morning, though. It's a rule of mine not to combine my drooping eyelids and taxes.
Just a good rule of thumb.
Thanks! I LOVE free money.

<singing> ...and alllllll that jaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
I'm off to do some jazzing (Norah Jones--love singing Norah stuff!), followed by a late arvo get together with some friends...fine wine, antipasto (bring on the soft cheese!), singing and probably a lot of ranting by me...
...oh yeah, I said I wasn't going to drink this weekend...

I just got back from a good long bike ride in the rain, I'm soaked to the bone and couldn't be happier!

I hate doing taxes. It's no guarantee that I get a refund. One time I actually ended up owing the gov't more money, even though I had earned below the poverty line.Wyldewode wrote:I looove filing taxes, because it always means I get a nice chunk of money back.
I envy you.WOOT! Just bought tickets to see the Police!

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

A few years ago, I was sending the g-ment a $1500 cheque every month to pay for some back taxes (I was self employed)...Revenue Canada called me up to say that it wasn't enough..they informend me that they were not a bank, and not into the practice of lending out money.
I asked them , "So it's only Big Businesses that you give money to, not small ones? Small one's you just ......" Well the rest of that statement is inappropriate.
They backed off, until I got a regular job working for someone else..Paying regular taxes...it was at that point they started garnishing my wages, even though I was making all of 11 dollars an hour.
So the next two years, I decided to work under the table, and didn't claim one cent of income.
