It sucks sucks sucks! Of course I am happy about Terry and David's wedding. But hell the timing could NOT be more shitty. I just got off the phone with Lucimay. The sympathy was MUCH needed. F*ck. I know, I am swearing. I don't care. Ban me if you will. I feel like scum. I made plans with Wadds for driving and I was looking at booking hotels in tangent with Damelon and DLB. For both Wadds and myself. I want the elohimfest. I want to geek out with all of you. Maybe this is the karmic punishment for things I have done in my life. Karma has rewarded me handsomely, above and beyond my own dreams in other aspects and maybe this is the time for karma to take back a little. If this is the case then karma sucks right now. I don't know.

Could you get away for a little part of the weekend? Perhaps fly down Friday and maybe do the dinner with SRD Friday night and fly back Saturday am?

I think Jen said she's catering one of the wedding events. If that's the case I can personally attest that she won't have an opportunity to slip away.

I was telling Paul about Elohimfest, knowing he was going to tell me "no way..."

All I can say after our conversation is

He said I deserve a trip to myself, and that he thinks we can budget $150.00 towards it. It's not enough to get me there, stay, and come back, but I was so shocked by his answer!

I'm so sorry Jenn. I got your message this morning. I understand how frustrated you must be... but there's always the FBH party! I'll SO be there for that, and hopefully others will be able to make it up as well??

Don't cry :'( That makes me sad. There WILL be other Elohimfests!

That said, w/o Jenn to keep me company on the way back, I'd rather not do the road trip. I guess I'll check out hotel/airline packages. At least that way I don't have to take as much vacation time off work.

Just to clarify. It only sucks that I will miss out on Elohimfest and meeting you peops. It doesn't suck that Terry and David are getting married. I am excited about that too. Some of you guys are gonna have to be responsible for taking LOTS of pics etc. I demand it. Menolly, I had started to put aside some monies for Elohimfest so I could make a donation to your cause. I would be thrilled to do it. If I can't make it at least I would have the joy of helping another fine watcher to be there.

Damelon: Yay, thanks! Looking forward to it! I'm happy to chip in for gas, etc., of course. Batty is kind of interested in coming along, so you may have another rider, too. Younger Daughter probably won't come -- she seems more interested in having the house to herself. I'll pm you.

Jenn: NOOOOOO!!!!! Total bummer. Maybe we can rig up a streaming-video thing for you and the other Watchers who can't come. Danlo talked about it last time but I think there were technology issues.

Dates and time of people arriving in and leaving from Denver please?

I already replied to Jenn's offer in PM. Basically, I don't want one person to try to fund my going on their own. I would love to go, but my karma would wonder what I can do to pay Jenn back. Whereas, if several Watchers chipped in, I guess I wouldn't feel quite so beholden to one person.

I know, I know. My own mishigosh is interfering again.

This is a rough schedule.

I haven't bought tickets yet, I'm waiting for my tax refund which should come any day, but I will arrive in Denver on Thursday May 31st.

I plan on taking a mid morning flight from Chicago, and intend to go to the St. Louis - Colorado baseball game that night. I haven't decided on a place to stay yet.

We'll drive down, starting at a mid morning time on Friday - it's about a 6 hr drive.

I'd like to get there between 3 - 6 pm on Friday.


On the return, I'm planning a Monday flight back from Denver. Time dependent, right now, on anyone else's plans.

I'll hope to get more detailed in a couple of days.

So, if I fly in Thursday to Denver, I have to figure out accomodations for overnight? I need to check fares for Friday and see if they jump up significantly.

So, if danlo and family permit, what should I plan on cooking for everyone? Creme Brulee French Toast Casserole for Saturday or Sunday morning anyone?
