Hey, danlo, someone at
Hatrack seems to have discovered your post about the Third Chronicles.
Come to think of it, I think I must have given him the link to this site, a couple of years ago.
(I think he probably read it on Jay's Kevin Watch site, though, not on the forum - I gave him the links to that and to The Land - still he read your post, danlo.)

Upon reading the excerpt/summary of Chapter 5, what do you guysy think will happen next after Joan escapes Haven Farm's house?

Idon't wan't to speculate. SRD has always surprised me. I cannot anticipate his moves...

That's exactly how I feel.

Well, I think I feel safe enough guessing that Linden, at least, and probably the boy, and maybe Roger, Joan, and the nurse (or was it the friend?) will end up in the Land sooner or later.

That's my attitude, too.

Hmmm Though I know SRD will have a clever and unique way to make the "transfer", I want to give it a try... this is going to take a few days of thinking. I will hopefully come up with something good....

I can do nothing BUT speculate. This wait is driving me mad...I'm going to start raving soon...

OK here goes... "picture this"... "crack in ground" "hot steam" "ur-viles, a pit with a dark liquide, Joan and Lindens step son chanting" hehe anyway I dont wish to take a crack at it. To be honest in his prior books the "transfer" was never that exciting. The last one was a little bit more violent but... I think SRD will of course do it in his own unique way we all love.... but I will say this, I think that however SRD handles these books, he will have to figure out a way to seal the two places apart forever, cause you can't kill Foul (I don't even think the Creator could)... cause he will just keep comming back..... that little devil

Interesting points, Chosen. The thing is, I believe the Land will be destroyed in the end. TC and LF are one and the same, further you cannot have beauty without corruption; the Land must fall to end LF.

I'm sure it will be something that only Steve Donaldson can bring us. I don't know what I think as far as what the final outcome will bring. The story may end with Covenant and Linden back at the very very beginning of the Land's creation, when all was darkness and a genesis occurs... with Lord Four defeated. That might be a great end in my opinion.

So much speculation - someone's bound to be right eventually, then the series will be spoiled, and we'll all be pissed off.

I don't think so. After the first chrons who in hell could have predicted the sun bane, Linden Avery, The corruption of wild magic. I don't think any of us are gonna get it right.
