Hey!!! What's that supposed to mean?
It's common for college students to regress to younger behavior. It's a time-honored coping mechanism. I, for one, remember watching Ren and Stimpy marathons with my dorm mates, going on scavenger hunts, and drawing on the sidewalks with chalk in order to relieve stress. It's perfectly normal, and fun. :D

Yeah, that is another time-honored way of relieving stress. I didn't go to a party school, though. ;)

I went to a party school and have some WONDERFUL memories. :bounce03:

What I did today may not be particularly interesting, but it was indeed wonderful.

I lit some candles, dimmed the lights and read all day, my second foray into Fatal Revenant.

Marvelous. No interruptions. My lovely cat to keep me company, purring by my side.

It was completely delightful. :cross: Let's hope my evening will go as well. :S

A friend from school, that I haven't spoken to in fifteen years, called me tonight.

We were on the phone for three hours catching up. And, she's thinking of moving over here. :D

I balanced my checkbook tonight and discovered that I'd forgotten to write in the $500 that I'd transferred from savings. Phew! Things were lookin' dire there for a sec....

Today I applied for a personal loan to pay for private medical care not covered by my insurance policy. Fingers crossed the bank approves.

Today I drove around downtown.

Ok, so yeah, that doesn't sound too exciting, except that starting next week, Johnny Depp will be in town, filming his upcoming movie "Public Enemies" and shooting on location downtown here. It's a 1930's era gangster movie, where Depp plays (I believe) John Dillinger. So several blocks of downtown are getting dressed up this week, and made into storefronts and such that would be appropriate for the Depression. It looks reeealllllly cool!

I probably won't try to hang around next week during the shooting or anything, but if I just happen to see Mr Depp and just happen to have my camera on me, I'll post a pic.

Which town? (I live in WI. If it's nearby, my sister will definitely want to drive to see Johnny Depp.)

Auleliel, I'm in Oshkosh. You're in Milwaukee, right? If your sister is there with you, Oshkosh would be about an hour north.

I guess he was in Columbus a week or two ago doing some shooting as well. If I see anything about an actual shooting schedule, I'll let you know.

Cool, thanks.
My sister actually lives about an hour south of where I am in Milwaukee, so it'll probably take 2 to 2-1/2 hours, but I bet she wouldn't mind even that much.

My most interesting activity today was trying to calm a 5-month-old baby. She cried for almost 2 hours straight today due to having an ear infection and a bulging ear drum. :(

My most interesting activity today was finding out at 10pm that I have the wrong batteries for a tape recorder I need early tomorrow morning for a school project that will determine my grade. I panicked for about forty minutes trying to figure out how I was going to get five C batteries that late at night (everything nearby was closed already, and I have no car), until I ran into someone who was willing to lend me an already-battery-filled tape recorder. (Thank goodness!) Now I just need to figure out how the tape recorder works, and I'll be set.

8O You are a good person, Lyr. Hopefully the amoxicillin kicked in eventually....

Auleliel, I never understood why cassette tape recorder manufacturers didn't standardize the position of the buttons on their machines....

So far, I have done nothing interesting today. Sorry. Nothing to see here, folks, move along, move along...

So far my most interesting activity, aside from something else, was taking Miss Elora out for breakfast where she actually cut up her french toast with a fork and knife! I am such a proud Daddy! (She turns 3 on Earth Day, btw) Then I went to Home Depot and bought a tarp.

My most interesting activity of the day will commence in 15 minutes, so this post should really be in the "Swift kick in the ass" thread. About to borrow my neighbor's truck and load it with tons of rose bush remains, 6 huge bags of yard refuse, 15 old pots and a partridge in a pear tree. Then cover it with said tarp and take it all to the dump. :P

Cars just always seem to want to crash whenever I'm around.

I was crossing the street from trail head to trail head, near my house, and the lead car slowed down for me. Waved me across, too. I jogged to go fast so I'm not a hassle. The second, third and forth cars all had time to slow down and wait. But the fifth car slammed the hell into the back of the fourth in line (a huge truck.) The fifth was some lowered gangster thing, so the truck went straight on top of it.

Everyone was okay, and I was no where near the action when it started, but I moved over to see if the driver was alright and tell people to call 911(USA Emergency). The Fuzz came, as well as an ambulance and a firetruck.

Filled out a witness report and finished my walk.

Crazy, crazy.
