This forum is called In Pursuit of Mallory because it was a long standing joke the brain child of aTOM man .. who woke up one morning and looked outside, smelled the roses, and thought of a great idea for a new forum .. and filled it with many nonsensical games to entertain the work weary traveller. "mmm .." said aTOM-man .. I will call this place 'In Pursuit of Mallory' .. no one will ever know why .. I dont even know myself if I were to be honest" .. and it was born....

"In pursuit of Mallory"...well, I have to admit that it does have rather a nice sound to it, like it could be a line in a poem.

This forum is called Mallorys because the Mall was taken so some bright spark added orys .. cos its what you do

I remember Mallory from when I was a kid. She was the oldest sister of my twin friends. I would go back to their place after footy up until I was about 12. Mallory would be there, always busy. Busy, busy, busy. Busy getting ready for a party, or busy getting something done and trying to get out of the house.
Mallory would come at us with those big blue time stopping eyes and say "Boys I need your help please, I am running out of time." It was usually a walk to the shops for something Mallory had to get for her mum.
It really is a shame she never said, " I would like you to rob a bank for me please", because we'd be rich! I would have been asking what kind of notes she'd like and where I should drop the money off!
So we would come back from the errand and she would appear and give us all a hug, and then disappear off upstairs.
She would go up to her room and put her brains in something, and then come back downstairs looking for another thing she put somewhere before she took her brains out.
Then a huge guy from either the surf club or footy club would come calling to the house to drive Mallory out somewhere. The surf club guy would be asking the twins if they've seen the footy club guy, and the footy club guy would ask the same about the surf club guy. Mallory didn't like intelligence in her boyfriends. She said that would slow her down.
I was never happy about this, but I was never big enough to complain.
Mallory always complained about the cold, except in summer of course.

I heard something in an old black and white Yankee Doodle film, where a president said something along the lines of - "that they are endowed by the Creator, the Right to play word games, that among these are life, liberty in the pursuit of Mallory."
I'm sure the film was, The Fifth Element.

This is dubbed Mallorys following a long night pub crawl .. and .. wez kindza said .. I dunno .. what do you think of Mallorys?? and we all thought that was genius .. so it got dubbed

I'd be more in favor of being in pursuit of Mallory if I could just figure out what Mallory herself is pursuing.

In fact thats the very reason this is called In pursuit of Mallorys .. the person who named it was blind, and wasnt using their brail keyboard and knocked out this title .. how amazing it made a grammatical statement

"In pursuit of Mallory" may be a more attainable goal than "in pursuit of happiness"...I'm just not sure.

In fact the religion has sought happiness in so many ways .. through Jesus, Buddha, Mohamed .. and .. yes now Mallory

Doing penance the Mallory way may just be more fun than doing penance any other way...I'm just sayin'.
