And on this topic, I see the next one will be Rome II.

At first I was disappointed, but thinking about how well Shogun 2 was done, I'm thinking it could be awesome.

You were disappointed at first? :? Were you hoping for a completely new game, (rather than a sequel, I mean) or possibly another remake of Medieval? (since surely you weren't after an Empire or Napoleon remake just yet!)

Either way, yeah, I reckon it could be quite good, too! Although I think they were planning on (fairly drastically?) changing how you interact with things; like, you wouldn't be going around building cesspits and the like in every little village, as the AI would take over the reins for the 'small-time' jobs like that, and you would just be controlling the 'top-level' of things, rather than almost everything. We'll have to wait and see how it turns out, I guess!

I was hoping for a completely new one. :D I got the only sequel I ever wanted with Shogun 2, although Medieval 2 was good of course. (I didn't bother with Fall of the Samurai, which is probably the only one I've flat out ignored.)

But thinking on it, Rome was revolutionary. And great fun. It deserves a version that can make it more like it was trying to be. (And was for the time probably.)

Hopefully it can at least be modded to play the Scythians.
