Pitchwife was expressing his anger at Covenant, because he doubted Covenant's intentions upon meeting Lord Foul.

Thomas has just told the First & Pitchwife they need to head North towards Mount Thunder. I think Pitchwife was more frustrated than angry - but he did tell TC that he had "doubts" to which Covenant said GOOD!

Warmark, Khat, and dlpharmd:

You guys ROCK!!! :P Great job!!!

I'm going to have to dig deep here... to really stump you guys...

Let's see:

Why had the former inhabitants of Doriendor Corishev needed to build their city on the top of a hill?

just guessing an obvious answer: for defense?
no idea really

a random thought came: did there use to be a sea there or something so they had to build on high land

Yep, for defence. Doriendor Corishev was 'the masterplace', and the ruins of its heavy fortifications were still there in Hile Troy's time. I suppose that in the days before the country to the south became a desert, Doom's Retreat must have been a major trade route between the Land and the empire of Doriendor Corishev. A fortified city on high ground was the perfect place from which to command that trade and control its wealth.

It was Doriendor Corishev, as I recall, that was the capital of the King who was possessed by a Raver and fought that titanic war against Berek and his Queen. Thinking of the long slow war between humans (and Ravers) and the One Forest, I can almost see a parallel with another SRD work: the King as Holt Fasner, and the Forestals as the Amnion. Not a very close analogy, but it paints an interesting picture, don't you think?

Variol, you still retain the wisdom and knowledge of your years as serving as High Lord. ;) Excellent answer! (Good try also, Warmark!)

OK... next question:

Lord Trevor experienced a revelation during the siege of Revelstone, while he was defending the outer gates against the undead. What was it?

At first I thought he felt the plight of Trell, but it was akin to what Lord Mhoram discovered from the Krill:
That fear or hate can be used for good. Lord Trevor said something about; that his strength returned to him when the Keep's need became larger than his fear of the undead enemies...

dlbpharmd is CORRECT!!!!!!

Lord Trevor's revelation was that Lord Foul held the Staff of Law, and that was enforcing the preternatural winter upon the Land.

Great memory dlbpharmd!!!! (Honorable mentions to Warmark and Khat!)

OK... next question:

Who killed Kinslaughterer? AND... why was it important to kill him quickly?

Korik, Sill and Doar struck Kinslaughterer together. Lord Hyrim had given them that opportunity by striking Kinsy's piece of the Illearth Stone from his hand.
