I am happy to report the doctor's appointment went well! My son barely screamed at all when he got his shots. Unfortunately, they didn't have the chicken pox vaccine, so that will happen at his 18 month appointment.
He was happy the rest of the evening and I got some cleaning done. We ate leftovers, so I didn't even have to cook.

They have a vaccine for Chicken Pox now?!

Yup. Most states require it between 15-18 months of age. There's an optional booster administered at 4-5 years. Though the optional aspect will likely become less so over the next several years.

I've been looking for jobs and a place to live. It's amazing how you can go from peaceful to sad and anxious in a few hours.

Yeah. We've been doing that for months now.
Hope things work out for you!

Been walking on eggshells for the last two days, my brother is in ICU, with a yet undecided diagnosis. They've made some speculations about his gallbladder but can't do anything about it until they can get his vital signs within normal range. His pulse was about 185 when they moved him to the better hospital, and that was after their attempts at stabilizing him at the local one. He's only five years older than me, with 5 year old daughter and a 9month old son, and his wife of 15years is absolutely beside herself. He's always taken care of her, and now she doesn't know how to handle the idea of him being sick. I've spent most of the last days trying to reassure her, when I could really use some reassurance myself. So, I guess, today, I'm feeling anxious, and I really needed to get some of that off my chest, so thanks for being Watchers, and thanks for being here, I already feel a little better.

That makes three of us, thefirst.

Hope you all get good news soon.
Lyr, you okay?

Thanks, Jaz, Tsukasa, and Aliantha! I'm sure that something will work out soon. I just get overwhelmed when I realize that I will be going through so much change all at once. My roommate is moving to China, so for the first time in many years I'll be living alone--and paying the bills alone. That means that life will certainly be less comfortable than it has been. But as I said, I know that something will work out.

Good luck to you as well, Jaz!
And thefirst, I'll keep your brother in my thoughts. I hope that good news is swift in coming!

SoS goes to kinder today so I'm happy!

I plan to do some work...I plan to unpack boxes...I plan to do a whole lot of things. Reality is, I'll probably sit on my butt and procrastinate but, heh... I'm happy!

I'm finally starting to feel human again. I've been down with sickness the past few days. Finally feeling a bit more energy and less shaky. I think my fever finally broke in the night.
Hugs to everyone who needs them but luckily they are e-hugs so you won't get my germs.
