Hey ho...just when you thought I'd disappeared for good...

It's been a difficult few months for me. I met a guy when I was on vacation on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, RAAF flyboy, and we were sold on each other from the get-go. Unfortunately, he was married with kids. But we felt so strongly about our connection, so much so we agreed we were indeed soulmates, that we kept in touch when we got back to our respective cities (on the opposite sides of the country almost). He volunteered for a mission to come out to see me & we spent a week of afternoons/nights together, further cementing our bond...among all the wild monkey sex of course!

We were completely gaga/in lurve/making plans for a future together, and how he was gonna get out of his current (bad) marriage ASAP.

Then he got home. Couldn't keep a straight face, & wifey found out. Merde hit the oscillator, he left, moved to the base, we stayed in touch still planning to be together once he sorted out the inevitable sh!tfight with wifey. I was convinced he was leaving her when he texted me on his birthday (Apr 19) to call his mum. When I did, she told me he'd told HER all about me, how I was his soulmate and he was leaving his wife for me, & that he didn't care if he had 5 cents to his name as long as he was happy. She went along with his decision, & we had a good chat.

Three days later, wifey sends me a txt asking if I'm still in contact with him. I panicked, sent him a "mayday" text & he phoned me and ENDED IT WITH ME!!! What a total balls-up!! He said he couldn't do it any more, it had to stop, and that he 'loved his boys'...guess wifey used the kids as ammo, and he wimped out and decided to stay with her.

So I've been on medication now for the past month, trying to pick up the pieces of my (first time anyone has ever planned a future with me) life and still in a headspin over his complete 180 on our relationship.

so much for 'soulmates'...

hahah!! Thanks Jenn...yeah, pity he didn't believe in us being right for each other JUST a little more strongly...might have something to do with the way his first wife up and left & took everything from him without so much as a 'by your leave'...I feel sorry for him in a way because nobody should have to go through that, and I guess he just couldn't do the same thing to his current wife as had happened to him. Guess he has an 'honor code'; flawed, yes...but honorable. And I'm the one caught in the crossfire with no control over any of it.
