I'm new and my name's not actually Frank.

I love the Gap series and to a lesser extent like the Covenant books. I've only read them once though.

I found this website whilst aimlessly googling for a Gap messageboard. I must I am rather impressed and relieved that such a forum exists!

Hello All,

I have been slinking around the forum for some time. Maybe around a couple of years (I think) and have enjoyed it immensely. Thanks to the originators of the site and to all contributors. I have been reading the Last Chronicles forums, but have lost the Fatal Revenant forum. Can anyone help? :)

Hey SkurjMaster. Welcome. :)

The Fatal Revenant forum was made a closed/hidden form to avoid spoiler issues. I've just added you (so you should be able to view it now). Any probs just pm me.

Howdy all. Another newbie here also.

Just a quick history of my SRD reading. I first read TC in probably '85 when I was 11 or so. I remebered it as being difficult reading. I rediscovered TC about 4 years ago, and absolutely fell in love with it. Since, I have read each of the major works twice, and the minor stuff (short stories, Brew/Ginny novels) at least once. Currently I'm in the midst of my third read of TC, partially in preparation for FR in the fall, and partially to celebrate my scouring of ebay for old SRD hardbacks.

One of the things that continually impressed me about SRD's work is that for me, it gets better the more I read it. There are other authors whose work has the greatest impact with the first read. But SRD seems to have more emotional impact with each re-reading.

Anyway, glad to be here, and looking forward to FR with great anticipaition.

I was having trouble getting registered and after a few emails with the Admin I gave up but then a week later I think someone finally followed up with me and got my account working. Thanks!

Hey!! I was bred and buttered in Kansas as well. What parts, my friend? Me, I was born in Wichita, went to school in Lawrence, and spent a year of hell in Lenexa. Then I got the hell out. But I am still fond of Kansas, particularly Lawrence. Now I'm just a state over.

Thanks for the welcome, everybody!

Cagliostro, when I said I was from Kansas, I should have said that I'm currently from Kansas. I actually grew up in suburban Chicago, then moved to Wichita after I became an adult. I've been here for about three years now. I like it in Wichita, except for the fact that the summers are just sooo &@!%%#$ hot.
