Sounds like the Worm of the World's End is rolling over in his sleep! 8O
He has been doing that recently, although I don't believe there is any cause for alarm.

"I talked with almost all the gods of Eiran. They agreed to give me their power in order to do something that no one could ever imagine! Today, before your eyes, all the dead of Eiran will rise!"
I must say, if the "almost all" there is anything more than just exaggeration then the gods on this game are unimaginably stupid. And I'm not just speaking from my perspective as the one being harmed by this.

And from my perspective as Maeror, I cannot believe that once again players have facilitated Argothoth in his abuse of the dead. He deprives them of choice, he twists them into abomination, and he causes little more than suffering for the majority of souls he forces unconsenting into undeath.

you know my brother, the goal of existance is the eternal unlife. The paradise of undeath is on Eiran, now and forever...
Death is the threshold through which life eternal is reached.
Saving Eiran is the main reason for existing.
Embrace Death as the best means towards this goal.

Rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble, RUMBLE...
Don't worry everyone, I just realised that I forgot to include "Undine had his breakfast" in this turn's post.

(Do undead automatically worship Argothoth then? Would they not still worship those gods who they had originally worshipped?)

That is a question I'd like to know the answer to. In the past it has seemed he's just claimed them regardless--for example his new prophet, built from the bodies and souls of former worshippers of mine...

The fear of Nor Yekith can lead a deity to agree to many things Maeror, not all of which are wise. Let us hope that it is that fear and not plain stupidity that has inspired such support of Argothoth's plan.

As for my "trick", it may be that the possibility of such things happening again has passed.

I think that only the allfather can answer such question...

How easy it was to encourage such fear - to place myself in such a position as to be regarded the worst threat to the world. I am greatly amused by the stupidity of some of the gods here. Such fools do not deserve to live.

I've outwitted you again and again.
"Oh of course," the Navigator said with faint mocking in his voice, "you have probably heard of House Praetus. We have a palace on Holy Terra. Like all powerful groups, we also have our enemies. Do you honestly think someone like you matters?" - A dissolute noble.

If only I could know for certain whether the balance has truly tipped, or if, once again, one act has been compensated by another...

Do the undead have souls? It is their bodies that are reanimated. Their souls depart at death for whatever afterlife you assign them, surely?

Now THAT is a good point. Is argothoth using their souls, or simply acting as a pupetteer?

All things will be answered in time, Master of Assassins.

:::shaking:::

m'l-rd Argothoth, brother...

As I recently said to Nor Yekith, dragon flesh is sacrosanct to my followers and myself. These undead you have risen...how much decomposed are they?
