WTF is up with Kara?
Who rebuilt her shiny white Viper?
Is she a Cylon or a Clone?
Doesn't D'Anna know who the last remaining Cylon is?
Do any of her past comments point to Kara?
Did Kara "die" before or after the Resurrection ship was destroyed?
I thought it was before.
Leoben ran away, abandons Kara (whereas he's always fought to remain by her side and always been supportive) after seeing her ....clone? dead Cylon body? and learns what the Hybrid said to Kara.
Why?
He wasn't afraid of Kara after learning she was a Cylon he only got afraid after learning about the Hybrid prophecy.
Let's keep in mind D'Anna also told Roslin that the final 5th Cylon wasn't on board Galactica, meaning most likely that they were dead or on the Base Star if they were from Galactica. (Of course Leobon said "Adama is a Cylon" and the closest we have come to that is Sharon being an "honorary Adama" because the Admiral saw her as a daughter, but we already knew Sharon was one from the get-go)
Kara definitely needs explaining. As far as the ressurection hub, I imagine even if it hadn't been blown up yet (I think you're right, BTW) she still would've been out of range to ressurect anyways.
Good points.
Of course I'd feel a lot better and maybe take more time to figure these things out if I didn't read once that the writers just make up the details from week to week and that there was no ending planned.
I don't think "week to week" is a fair assessment, but, yea, they apparently admitted to not even deciding who the final 5th was until after the S3 finale was filmed. Apparently the Final 5 idea didn't come to them until S2. Still, even when they just fill in the blanks, they ought to make it fit what has happened
RDM, as he did on DS9 generally at least plots at least a season in advance (DS9, I believe he plotted S5-7 before S5 was filmed)

I don't think the Earth Cylons used the hub.
They had a resurrection device 2,000 years ago, and the current Cylons have only had human form for 30-40 years at most.
No telling how advanced their technology was or what range it might have had, or if it is still intact - but it must have survived whatever happened to Earth.
I always thought D'Anna was apologizing to the fifth.

No way to tell which of the 5 she was apologizing to, I don't believe. If all 5 had been in range of the "wake-up call", they all would've woken up at the same time. Ellen (if she's not a red herring) is the same as the other 4, I believe. I actually seem to remember it was the middle one she was apologizing to, who appeared to be pretty tall, hence my assumption/belief it was Sam.

I need to watch The Eye of Jupiter again...
I'm 100% in favor of the red herring theory. Ellen is an Earth Cylon, but is she the Fifth? On the one hand, it makes sense that she is a Cylon, but on the other, it wasn't exactly a shocking revelation.
I wouldn't go as far as to say it was disappointing, but I have come to expect shocking revelations.

Agreed. She was actually pretty high up on my radar for being a regular skin job before she died and we knew about the Final Five. I kinda dropped her off the list once she died though. Gaeta, Sam, BIlly, and Dualla were my other suspects early on. (Hey, I got one right, at leasst

Hell, it WAS an aweful coincidence that she popped up the way she did in season 1. They dismissed the possibility so casually at the time (with great comic aplomb) we all ruled her out out of hand. I think she is a brilliant choice. (I STILL would have preferred Billy personally though.)

I really like what they're doing with Gaeta's character. I foresee a bad ending coming for him.

Ah, I see. I was positive I posted about this ep, but couldn't find it. I accidentally posted it in the general BSG thread. heh
Well, it was certainly a good episode! Leading up to what looks to be an amazing episode next week!!

Personally, I'm with Tom and Felix.
And then there's the Chief. Man...
I'm a bit annoyed, though, that there was no mention of the rather serious revelations from last week!! Everybody forgot?? Nobody wonders how it all happened?? What the hell!

Well... Wow. Some serious crap! SOOOO nice to see Starbuck kick serious ass! She hasn't been what she used to be in a long time.
Adama and Saul shoulda just gone on the raptor. That was obviously what was going to happen. Not sure what advantage they have now.
Hey, maybe Felix is the 5th.

Hey, maybe Felix is the 5th.
Huh? You don't trust Saul's Memories? Has he always fixated on the last lover, thinking she was always the lover, therefore making someone else the 5th?
Interesting... it bears fruit when looking at the way he sees Caprica6 as a re-incarnation (practically)
I've actually suspected Felix of being a Cylon ever since the 2nd or 3rd episode where he defeated the Cylon "Pirate Virus"

Whoa. Where to begin...
Baltar wrote:You know exactly what I'm talking about.

But I forgive you for that, Felix.
I'm telling you, if you are hungry for redemption, this is not the way.
The Hybrid wrote:And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering.
I don't really think that Gaeta is the fifth, though that certainly fits him better than it fits Ellen.
Caprica as a re-incarnation? Hmm.... weren't Ellen and Caprica 'active' at the same time?
Still... Tigh looking relieved at finding out that Ellen was a Cylon at the end of the first episode, then planning family life with Caprica in the next... If Ellen is alive out there somewhere the fur is gonna fly if she walks in on that relationship.
I need to watch it again before I add anything else.

you bring up some good points.
If the Hybrid's vision is true about the 5th, I dont see how Ellen is truly the 5th we are looking for -- since there apparently is no ressurection hub left, how could Ellen even show up? How could she
claw for the light, hungry for redemption? Felix
does need redemption from his actions on New Caprica during season 2, and is he not
clawing for the light, as was pointed out? I am starting to rethink this.
As for Adama and Saul -- and I love the image of saul with a rifle in one hand a pistol in the other -- I think Saul jumped on that grenade and saved Adama. In the clips for the next episode, they told Rosselyn that "Saul died in battle and Adama was tried for his crimes and found guilty" -- I think Saul died for his friend, and found his own redemption, and has gone to be with Ellen.... you heard it here, first.
and Cara Thrace, who was ressurected, is either a clone or a cylon -- unless they introduce some higher power like the ones who transformed the original starbuck in TOS. what the hell is she????

This is why I don't watch the "scenes from next week's episode". Now that's gonna bug me for a week.
I can certainly see Saul doing that for his friend
and for the credibility of the Cylon alliance with the humans.

bolded comment -- absolutely. that sounds just like him. If he did jump on the grenade, then I hope he finds a way back. He is one of my favorite characters on the show.

I think I said that somewhere in the first season.....Saul Tigh is the most interesting and complex character on the show.

Yea, that's why I love that's on On Demand now. No commercials and no temptation to watch previews

Holy shit, what a great episode!
I love the character development with Gaeta - they've done tremendous work with him since the end of the 2nd season, just to bring him to this moment. But, I don't understand the interchange b/w Baltar and Gaeta that Sorus mentions above. Does this go back to the "Face of the Enemy" webisodes or am I missing something?
I love Starbuck - Fist and I were texting in the middle of the episode about how freakin' hot she is.

Actually, that goes back to season 3. Baltar whispered something into Geata's ear that led him to try and kill Baltar when he was locked up. Geata clearly has a pretty dark skeleton in his closet. (Way more than just being Gay.)

The webisodes reveal that whispered exchange.

Well, guess I was wrong, thank god! Adama has resumed command, Tigh is alive and Felix and Tom are gone.
I wonder what the implications of the entire Quorum being shot will be -- there will have to be a provisional government set up.
Did you guys see scenes from next week? (Cail, I am spoilering these just for you)
Ellen takes a goo bath! She is the 5th! There is a ressurection machine somewhere, or a stored copy someone found and activated.
