Wow, cool story! So he approached the group and admitted to being a lurker?

Yep. He came up to Aliantha and said "I'm sorry to disturb you but I have to say I'm a huge Donaldson fan" (or something like that). So we explained we were having an elohimfest etc etc. We've told him to drop by and say hi.
As for Cag's story....it's all true...but he forgot to mention they actually asked to be tied up!!!

Lurker in the sense of "I've been there a few times but never registered". He seemed a little baffled about the global nature of the fest, heh. "You've all come all the way here...for this?"

...oh yes...
But, they are not easily seen from cag's.
However, from the state park where we three ladies are camping they are breathtaking. ali isn't sure if her camera will capture them though.
Even though we headed back to camp about 1:00 am this morning, I had arranged to meet up with an online friend I met on a parenting forum over a decade ago whom I had never met in real life before. She was coming at 8:30, so we set the alarm for 7:00. Well, I was up at 6:15.
I crawled out of the tent, and even at that ung-dly hour, the sun was fully risen and the mountain range was glittering in the early morning light. So instead of trying to catch another half hour sleep, I sat at the picnic table and took in the view.
When ali joined me, we saw three hot air balloons float in and land in the plain between the state park and the range. And then take off again.
The birds were chirping.
The jack rabbits were scampering.
The prairie dogs were posing.
What a magical morning...

That sounds lovely, Menolly. If it's a digital camera, I'd say at least attempt to take a picture of the view--if it doesn't turn out you can always delete it, and if it does turn out you can share it with us. (Please.)

Seafest - Denver Day 2
I am here to report that the difference between day one and day two was completely night and day. Despite Covenant Jr. threatening to push Magickmaker down the stairs, and Carla pulling a knife on Aliantha, it was all about love.
Early on, I received a lipsticked kiss to the forehead from a bloody great block of ice. Then we imbibed some distilled chicken and things got tender and slightly depraved - Cameraman Jenn and a couple of poodles, Menolly and a watermelon and Seareach and a couch, and I swear I saw Lucimay and Joni Mitchell sharing a love only they would understand. I am not one to kiss and tell, but Danlo's mustache tickles. With all this love in the room, we gave birth to a new being known as Seafoam which hopefully will join the Watch and be a contributing member. And just as the evening was winding down, CovJr returned briefly to see me with my pants down.
It was a beautiful evening, and we will all have the memories and a social disease that will be with us for years to come.
The bagel bloke speaks.

Afraid? How could I be afraid knowing I was surrounded by people who understand the value of the oath of peace? Although I was a bit shocked by the unexpected round of applause, I was happily surprised by the event. Sadly, I was also a bit rushed, on the way to work, stopping only to have a quick lunch with my wife. I would have loved to stay and chat or join in any other activities; alas, work required me.
As it turns out, I first registered here back in November 27th, 2002. Do I still qualify for newbie status? I've been through here every so often, but I never really stopped for an extended look. The gradual interview takes up enough time!
Anyhow, it was a pleasure meeting a bunch of you, and I look forward to a bit more participation this time 'round.

Dammit, no matter what I do, I always miss something.
James!

I'm so glad you saw my shirt and came out to talk to us! Come back again!
We're gathered now for breakfast at Cag's. The latest topic of conversation is whether danlo will need a colostomy bag for his drive back to Albuquerque.

There's some talk about going up to Estes Park today but, as with all such ambitious plans this weekend, the whole thing is likely to degenerate into another trip to the Motel 6 pool.
We have had a terrific time here! Cag and Carla are fantabulous hosts, and I've totally forgiven Carla for the butcher knife incident. Which really did happen -- Magickmaker has photographic proof. (My own flesh and blood....)
