Id argue that wanting a starship for that purpose is a misuse of resources and not a little overkill.
And Id be honour bound to deny gods request to requisition one. Its a far better use of resources to use a flat winged plane. Request APPROVED. And Scullys water landing was pretty impressive 
However, god has a far greater need to transport natural resource including the basic building blocks of life to various parts of the outerverse. Thats the part beyond the universal expanses that we know about. Gods still busy building the rest .. there are billions of worlds, planets, suns, moons to get cracking on .. no rest for the wicked.. as the old saying goes
