I've just read the article Loremaster linked earlier--very interesting stuff. The main priniciple of the article makes sense to me, that there would be a fundamental lower limit to any measurement in space-time. I don't know enough QM to say anything about the rest of it, though. Thanks for the link.

Thanks, Bhakti. That's what he's about. I dont understand Norn's comments, since Lord Foul kind of did worse in the first trilogy. Last chapter ring a bell, Norn?Bhakti wrote:If you make them feel sick, you're doing a good job!

Anyway, when the time comes for Nor to be destroyed, I want people to rejoice. That's what villains are for.
"Oh of course," the Navigator said with faint mocking in his voice, "you have probably heard of House Praetus. We have a palace on Holy Terra. Like all powerful groups, we also have our enemies. Do you honestly think someone like you matters?" - A dissolute noble.

I have another article where it states that if you have a series of clocks measuring space time, you cant go beyond a certain limit. The more precise the measurement the more energy you need. At one point, there is too much energy within the clock system and it becomes a singularity. Rather sobering that we may never fully understand the quantum world.Murrin wrote:I've just read the article Loremaster linked earlier--very interesting stuff. Hey all. Menolly here with a cryptic comment from Paul about the article Lore posted, written on Paul’s very own Watch account…
“It’s not the mathematics in the article that is at issue here. It’s the basic assumptions and usefulness of its conclusions. Although there is nothing inherently objectionable about discrete spacetime foam, the authors have not shown how to obtain information from a singularity or how to make improvements upon existing devices in order to approach the theoretical limits they loosely establish here. That said, I am intrigued by the holographic principle, especially in relation to string theory.
“Thanks for posting the link, Loremaster. Keep the great articles coming.”

I'm not so sure about badder. I've been given a promise I hold dear. By the player, not the deity...Astavyastataa Kadna wrote:I am SURE that if Nor were DESTROYED ... LORE would still come back!! Stoney, I'm pretty sure we're given two weeks between Turns. We just got the last results on Friday, so the next deadline should be June 30th I would assume...Stonemaybe wrote:When is the deadline for next turn? Enjoy the bonfires, Stoney! What else do y'all do to celebrate?

As I know none of the music, I would probably spend my entire time there in The Green Fields. It looks absolutely fascinating, Stoney. Have a fantastic time.
