I feel good today. We are gonna be busy but the new guy is starting so that is cool. Hugs to all who need them.

Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

I have always been astounded by the accomplishments of my father, who has been paralyzed for over 30 years, and has been an athlete for the majority of that time. But today my sister sent me this link, and I was once again, in awe, I had to share this www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnLVRQCjh8c.
Has anyone seen my keys?

Something that I've been dreading at work got cancelled for today, and moved to tomorrow. So today will be a good day.
Tomorrow, not so much. But what's important is immeadiate gratification and procrastination of less desirable things, right....?

Saturday night I woke up with a lot of acid in my belly, a lot of gas, and some chest pains. They never got worse, but I was nervous. I considered going to the emergency room, but didn't. The next day I felt okay throughout the day, but still a little pain my chest which came and went. Monday, I scheduled a doctor appointment, and apparently needed to bring my copay and somehow I was supposed to know they did not take credit cards. I lost my appointment. Yesterday, I skipped work through the morning to go to the doc and said I might have had a heart attack. They did an EKG and it looked fine. They gave me some new acid reflux medicine and scolded me. I took the medicine and felt a little better. This morning, I woke up trying to catch my breath and eventually was able to. Later, I throw up. I am at work now, and have been for the past few hours. When I got here, a little bit of burning sensation in my chest, and feel a little weird. Then it passes, and I'm gassy again. Now I'm starting to feel weird again. What the hell should I do? Should I waste a lot of money going to the emergency room when it is probably just the drugs working?

Life is a waste of time
Time is a waste of life
So get wasted all of the time
And you'll have the time of your life
I dunno Caggy! Man! I had a similar thing a while back: felt like someone was pushing a knitting needle through my heart and I was getting shortness of breath. My anxiety only made it worse. I went to the docs, had an EKG...everything fine. The doc spoke about drinking too much coffee, anxiety and also posture at the computer (if you spend heaps of time at the computer it can fuck up your spine and muscles associated with your back which can lead to shortness of breath). But...I've had since then moments of shortness of breath (sometimes so bad it lasts a couple of days) but I've decided it's just anxiety.Cagliostro wrote:Saturday night I woke up with a lot of acid in my belly, a lot of gas, and some chest pains. I'm not going to say "don't go to the emergency room" coz...well...I don't know. But try to relax a little...I reckon this whole burning in the chest and feeling weird is you being anxious. As these symptoms are similar to what you had the other night, and as they clearly weren't caused by a heart attack, you're probably fine this time too.

A couple of years a go I had a pain in my chest that spread to my left shoulder, then to the left side of my neck. After tests I discovered that it was actually due to a pinched nerve in my neck. It still hurts from time to time, mostly after I do a lot of lifting. I thought that I was having a heart attack also.

Does anyone think there should be two How do you feel today threads?
One for good news,
One for bad news.
Who wants come home and post something like "I just got a raise" and see that the post before it is someone saying that they have three weeks to live.
Personally, I had a crappy day driving and delivering in a freezing rain storm, and now that I'm home, I see the my firewood supply is getting wetter and wetter....but that seems trivial comparred to other peoples problems...and nonetheless I'm in a pretty good mood.

I'm exhausted and weak, and still coughing like a consumptive despite a truckload of cold medicine. And adding to my joy is a random nosebleed that will not stop.
As far as other things go, the go-live for the computer system went amazingly well. I'm stationed at a clinic for the rest of the week, and am hoping that things will go as smoothly as they did today (or even better).

I went through the same thing for weeks, perhaps months. Thought it was a heart attack, cancer, god knows what. Had chestpains, coughing, headaches, burping, no appitite, some days good, others really bad. Long story short, finely got an endoscope. Ended up being Gastritus. First started taking Prolosec (over the counter), worked sort of well, but still felt weird and stomache ache a couple times a month, ended up getting a perscription for Prevacid and for 6 months now I have been great, totally normal. You might have gastritus, ulcer or some other stomach related issue; all curable with proper medication, diet and exercise.Cagliostro wrote:Saturday night I woke up with a lot of acid in my belly, a lot of gas, and some chest pains. Cowboy: Why you doin' this, Doc?
Doc Holliday: Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.
Cowboy: Friend? Hell, I got lots of friends.
Doc Holliday: ... I don't.
