Totally. I bought Runes in hardcover (which I NEVER do)...could'nt resist...but I never got into it...I know, don't shoot me! I'm just kind of afraid...I don't want SDR to butcher TC like Herbert butchered Maud'Dib.

Haha, check out the Dune thread in Gen sci-fi for links to the Dune group read at the Watchs sister site, Ahira's Hangar. (Just go to the most recent post in the thread.)

Greetings
I guess I can't say that I'm really a "new" member. I had actually signed up here a couple of years ago but have since neglected my account and the e-mail addy that I signed up with. And so, I'm back! it's no accident that my return to Kevin's Watch coincides with the release of Fatal Revenant

I think that at some point after reading ROTE I had to try to put TC and the land out of my mind for the most part as a way of preventing myself from going crazy in waiting for the next book to be published.
At the moment I'm re-reading ROTE and my nice new copy of FR sits waiting on my bookcase ..this time I'll try to bear with the anticipation after reading the latest installment and stick around here.

Hello!

Been reading these forums for about 6 months. Good stuff IMO. TCTC were the second and third series of books I ever read (Elric Saga by MM) was the first. I then followed TCTC with the Belgarath (sp?) by David Eddings. I am a huge fan of the reluctant hero/antihero, romantists hero and ill-fated hero...prolly for what I read first lol. Started really reading fantasy in highschool..hooked since then.
I am from Wooster Ohio and grew up 2 blocks from the College of Wooster. Besides reading I play Everquest...lol
Just wanted to say Hi.

Hey today's my first post day too

But I think I read the Belgerath before the Chronicles. Man, I sooo read the Eddings books out of order... I started with the first and second books in the Tamuli, then finally found out about the Elenium, so I reverse knowledge about everything that happened. But then I went got the Garion books and read those in the right order

hello all!
i've been reading this forum for a little bit after finding Runes of the Earth at a local barnes and noble discount bin... i had no idea there was a new series.

finally decided to register to participate in the FR forum.
normally, i don't like to read book series that aren't completed yet (i just finished harry potter a little while ago) but, since i read the first one, had to get Fatal Revenant right away. and now... the looooong wait
very interesting discussions and looking forward to more insights and speculations.
