That's good news. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

The Briar King by Greg Keyes was pretty good; a traditional epic fantasy with enough of an original spin on things to make it different. I'll probably continue the series.
I've now started reading the Chronicles of Amber.

Warmark, what did you think of Martin's reference to the female characters in Jordan's Wheel of Time? Cracked me up!!! :P

Just read Raymond E. Feist's INTO A DARK REALM. . .

At times entertaining and at times very dull, the book is not a worthy sequel to FLIGHT OF THE NIGHTHAWKS. Plus, it sports one of the ugliest covers in years!

Check out the blog for the full review. . .

I have just finished the Chronicles of Amber--read Sign of the Unicorn, The Hand of Oberon, and half of The Courts of Chaos yesterday, this morning finished it off. Pretty damn good.

Ok, I'm slowly working my way through Neal Stephenson's novels - although I started with Zodiac, not "the Big U". I've just cracked open "The Diamond Age". Reading Stephenson is always a pleasure for me, as I love to read his work out loud - it has a high level of dramatic resonance. As does SRD and Dickens, my other 2 fave authors. :)

Finished The Charnel Prince last night. Left me feeling that not much had actually happened in this volume in the book. Some of the political maneuvering was explained and developed, some characters moved around, but at the end it was not much moved from where it began.
I've started Neuromancer by William Gibson.

I finished Neuromancer, a pretty good book, and I'm narly halfway through Anansi Boys. I'm currently on a mission to get through as many of my unread books as I can before I get back to uni.

Anansi Boys was great, and quite funny. I'm now reading Burgess' A Clockwork Orange.

I liked Anansi Boys too... very different from American Gods, which caught me a bit off-guard since it originally sounded like an almost-sequel to that book, but it's very good, I think. Hmm, perhaps I should pick up Stardust again... I've heard they're making a movie of it too.

I had started rereading Gene Wolfe's Latro in the Mist a few weeks ago, as the new book in the Latro series is due out next month. But then I got pretty sick, and was unable to concentrate well enough to deal with a Wolfe book. But now that I am finally on the mend, I was able to start rereading it again this morning. :)

I love Latro, and am tickled pink that a new Latro book is coming out soon. 8) :)

I am nearly to the halfway point now. :)
