I am against turning back time for two reasons.

The first is this: we will just have to fight against Nephirthos again. Going back in time wont stop him from existing and sending out Chastus to gather power for him, albeit in different circumstances. But should we succeed in turning it back, how will we fight him? Yes, would have the element of surprise, but we dont even know how to reach him NOW that there is an open portal that O-gon-cho made, much less without said portal.

Second: can ANY of us garuntee that there will be no unforseen consequences? For instance is it sure that we would retain our memory of events in this timeline? Not traveling backwards, but just rewinding? What side effects can we anticipate?

No. Some of us have made our mistakes with Chastus and Nephirthos and running away wont solve them. We need to fight him, not escape him.

I will lead the charge if called upon.

The devastation that was part of Thellarr had shrunk considerably last season after Melirelle helped me expand my land. However, Mer Undine has been destroyed and the devastation is back covering half the island. Other areas that have been attacked have a similar appearance on the map. Should we investigate these areas?

I wish to call to account the actions of Astavyastataa in the past few seasons. As you all know, three seasons ago the followers of Astavyastataa conducted a series of murders throughout my lands, and made an attempt on the life of my prophet Admar. Though this constituted a violation of Law, I chose not to act as I was able to reach an agreement with Asta, in which he promised to withdraw his followers from my lands and to cease acting against me; in return I would not take action against him as I had the right to by Law. Astavyastataa, having little choice at the time but to keep the agreement, ceased the murders and called back his Favoured. He was however unable to resist the temptation to strike against me in another way, as, at the very same time that his people withdrew, rumour began to be spread among my people of Astavyastataa's benevolence and my own evil--which I am sure that you all will agree a ridiculous reversal of the truth. I mentioned this to Asta when it occured, and politely suggested that he do something to stop it.
This season, the rumours have persisted and it is apparent that they are being spread actively, rather than simply being planted initially and allowed to spread on their own. To add to this insult, his vassal Moxinomal has insinuated on of his priests among my people and is actively turning tham against my worship.
Due to the persistant nature of these actions, and in particular the slander against my character, I consider this spreading of false rumours by Asta an attack. I have issued an ultimatum to Astavyastataa stating my intention to act if he does not cease all such activity immediately, however he has made it clear that he has no intention of complying. As such, and as per the terms of my agreement with Asta following the attack on my prophet, I am entirely within my rights to respond to the violation of Law on his part and the repeated attempts to reduce my power and spoil my reputation.

I therefore call for Astavyastataa to face the consequences of violating the Law of Eiran. I ask that all alliances with him be severed, and all agreements to aid him be cancelled--any god who continues to support him will be considered as complicit in his violation of Law, and will as such be susceptible to the same consequences as Astavyastataa himself.

He has twice been given the opportunity to redeem himself and avoid the consequences of his actions, and he has failed to take it. There will be no more such chances.

BAH!! It looks like you have taken over being the goddling of WHINING!! Cousin Bahkti will be distraught at having you infringe on his territory.

How can I be blamed if YOUR followers - for my FAVORED did leave - turn on YOU. If they seek my comfort, should I turn them away? Am I responsible for your lack of leadership? As to Mox, he is newly my vassal. I must talk to him about your charges. As you might have noticed; I have been occupied somewhat this past Turn!!

In point of fact, when you delivered your"ULTIMATUM"... *snort* ... I volunteered to swear an AllFather Oath not to bother you so you could focus all your healing energy on O-gon-cho; I even asked your help for my trauma. What I got back from YOU was innsolence and derision!!

Do not talk to me of violations minor goddling *shakes with ANGER* I KNOW what it is like to be violated!!

Also, damaged as I am, do not for a minute think that I am helpless. You chose to declare yourself against me because YOU cannot control YOUR own populace ... so be it! You will reap the Suffering, Battles, and Conquest your insolence merits!! But do not have the audacity to think you can order around the entire Pantheon.

Watch and ware little goddling, lets you become smaller still and find that the minions of Nephirthos are the least of your problems!!

Oh, please. You offered to swear the oath, yes--but you would swear only to withhold action for a single turn, and you would only give it in return for my own action--action you well knew I was already quite prepared to give without any bargaining.
And yes, once I responded to that you then asked for healing for yourself, when you are not even injured--losing your domains has wounded no more than your pride. Your simple tricks will get you no sympathy.

Edit: Allow me to explain more clearly. With the oath, you offered something of little worth--abeyance for only a single turn--and you asked for something in return for it, despite the fact that you were in no position to bargain on the matter. That I would already help O-gon-cho without any bargain is not of importance--you only chose that condition because it was something I would not refuse, so that I would accept your offer of next-to-nothing, and perhaps believe the matter ended. I am not so foolish, and so I rejected your offer.

"You will STOP making bargains over the body of my Beloved!!!"

With that pronouncement, Raucous resumed his stance over the wrecked body of O-gon-cho: wings outstretched, mouth flaming at the slightest movement, and eyes whirling madly with the orange red of anger...

Believe me, there will be no bargains taking place. Asta's attempt to use your mistress's misfortune to divert attention from his own actions is despicable, and I would not insult her by even considering such an agreement.

Tragic goddling, your insolent tone in the message alone, shows all why I justifiably ignore you!

And given your past practices of killing your own followers, no wonder they are deserting you! Perhaps I will ask the help of other gods as I move to protect your people against your depravity!

Raucous, my my, you are such a lovely PINK!

Insolence is your domain, Asta. Just as you call Bhakti the god of whining, so you should be the god of insolence.

How apropos that you should have a jester as your suppliant.

I will watch over her until she mends. She is the G-ddess, and will heal on her own. She needs no meddlers interfering.

Keep your distance. All of you.

Raucous dozed. His own hide, especially the wing membrane, was beginning to match his beloved’s from shielding her from the Siroccan desert sun. After days of standing watch, it was also sagging from dehydration. His beautiful gold Taleyeh had shown up every few days, bringing a freshly killed buck. But in his madness he had flamed at her to keep her away. She still came with food offerings, leaving them just beyond the reach of his flame, and desperately trying to reason with him. So far, nothing broke through.

It doesn’t help that Taleyeh can’t see my beloved lying here needing my protection,” Raucous had thought to himself. “These injuries must be to her actual essence, as she isn’t physically manifested.

Suddenly his doze was pierced with more sendings from his beloved. If only they were in some type of order! If only they made sense.
You free yourself of the trappings of power, and finally confront Chastus. The man looks at you with empty eyes, but you believe you see a shiver of fear in their back, and you take heart: perhaps this is exactly what he did not count on, to face a goddess who has no power in her. He takes a step back and you send out your tendril of power, snaking into the air until it finally touches him... and a terrible force grasps at you, pulling you strongly towards Chastus and inside him, even as he looks at you and - just before you are drawn into the unknown depths he leads to - suddenly grins with an evil darkness in him that causes you to feel more fear than you ever have in all your young life: you suddenly realize that he did not want your power - he wanted THIS! He wanted to draw a god inside himself - and as this realization dawns horribly upon you, you are swallowed by his essence and tumble through pain and terror, feeling your essence torn apart and seared with white-hot fire. An eternity of suffering passes by, and even your willpower cannot long withstand it, but your screams are lost in the white-hot void and you do not even receive the release of hearing them.
Raucous jerked awake. He could not bear to see the confrontation again. The rantings of that entity beyond Chastus made no clear sense to him, and he needed to relive them while awake and clear headed to attempt to decipher what had happened…

You need to add "humbug" behind that "BAH."

Even if I had been melted, it would not have mattered. I am made of the finest and most valuable materials and no heat could staunch my worth.

But, it does seem that the Usurper was able to make rubble of you quite easily.

**chuckles**

Perhaps his task was easy because I had grown soft in my treatment of Eiran's godlings!! No longer!!! I am BATTLE and CONQUEST now, along with SUFFERING. And I will conquer the Usurper and RIP what is mine out of his being!! I will build my strength for such action over the broken body of those godlings I find worthless!!

Soft? You soft??!!! That's a hoot. You are as prickly as a cactus.

I hope you do conquer the Usurper. Let's see if you are really as tough as you think....uh, say you are.
