JENN! If you move away how will I find you when I drive to SF and you don't have your cell and you give me the wrong address and everyone is panicking and I'm tired from driving a straight 13 hours!?!?! (;))
you call me again?

Can I just say that I hate Xar's flatmate too?!

I dunno...maybe you all are not seeing Xar's flatmate's point of view. Maybe he thought Xar was out, or maybe he was drunk and trying to be quiet but was stumbly, and is very tall to boot, so the awkwardness of being drunk coupled with trying to operate a gangly body just results in slammed door and dropped pans and so forth. Maybe it was really windy in the flat, and kept slamming the doors and Xar is just too sensitive. Or maybe Xar hasn't paid the rent for a few months and is sponging off poor flatmate who would prefer to see Xar on the way out, but is too kind to say anything, so he's doing the passive-aggressive thing because he is too bound up by some things that happened to him as a kid, yet cannot afford therapy because he is too busy funding freeloaders. Then again, maybe his flatmate is just an inconsiderate giraffe coupler and needs to realize there are other people in this world other than him.

Yeah, you all are correct. He sounds like a jerk. Then again, I have the feather-like backbone, and about as easily swayed by the Winds of Public Opinion.

Off the next two days, then Friday is my last day in the job I've had for eight years. I am MOSTLY over being furious and depressed, and at this point just want to put it behind me.

Start my new job on Monday... mixed feelings there. Looking forward to working with Cat again, even though she is absolutely the toughest manager I have ever worked for. Not looking forward to the commute, which is gonna be about 5 hours a day. Trying to see the best in it - there isn't a choice in the matter, and I will be able to get a lot of reading done. And the extra part is by train, which is kinda cool, though the novelty will probably wear off pretty quickly. We shall see. Once my living situation is a bit more stable I may look into other work options, as this is basically a lateral move.

|G to anyone that needs 'em - Xar, your roommate is an inconsiderate, self-centered idiot.

Xar wrote:I hate my flatmate... yesterday I wasn't feeling too well, so I went to bed early and went to sleep around midnight; I had just fallen asleep when he came back home, slamming doors and stomping through the kitchen as he usually does, even though it was very late. Then he decided to cook his dinner, and because the kitchen is just on the other side of the wall from my bed, I heard everything (especially since he didn't even try to keep quiet). Then he locked his room, went out (slamming the door), came back, unlocked the door, got into his room, came out, locked the room again, went out once more, and so on for two or three times. End result - he woke me up and kept me awake until 1 am, and afterwards I didn't manage to fall asleep again until 6 am. So now I have a headache and I still don't feel well :(
Sorry you feel lousy! I was out of comission all last week and am just coming back a bit on antibiotics. Next time you should hit you flatmate upside the head!

I CAN'T SLEEP! ARGH! About 5 hours of sleep in the last 72! I am looking at my bed longingly, but whenever I lay down, I just cannot sleep.

Going to try some sleepytime tea now. Wish me luck!

Good luck to you, I've spent a lot of time the past few days, laying around, or dozing, and have yet to feel rested, so keep your fingers crossed for me as well, I'll be trying it again in a few hours, right now, I'm making a late supper in the hopes that the activity, and a full stomach will facilitate my passing out. Maybe I should just chug some Nyquil eh?

My mother used to force feed us Nyquil on long trips. She'd say, "Here, now, you don't feel so well"

She denies it to this very day.

Hey, Nyquil doesn't sound like a bad idea!

Good luck to you, too!

Mentally exhausted and just plain angry! :x

Been going to court for the last 3 days because Isaiah's parents want to move his body back to Alabama, and we are fighting it. Long story cut very short, they are hateful, spiteful, prejudiced people and did absolutely nothing for him when we was on this Earth, I'll be damned if I'm going to let them take him from his peaceful resting place here on the mountain and back to the place where he felt unwanted and unloved. They have been hounding us over this for the past 4 years. Infruiating...

Furls, that sucks in a major way. Hugs and more hugs and calming lavendar vibes being sent your way.

I just looked at the place in Lucimay's building and it's not as shiny as the first place I looked at but the kitchen is THREE times the size and for someone who practically lives in the kitchen that is a HUGE HUGE deal. I can even put a table and chairs in one corner. The shiny place had a cubicle kitchen. Lucimay's building super is a nut but I think he already has the beginnings of a crush on me because he was telling me how he was going to call the building owner and tell him he wants me to move in and then he almost wouldn't let go of my hand during the thank you and goodbye handshake. :P He was also all impressed when I told him I like to cook a lot and he said he would get me a new stove in there right away. Also I have connections so I can get new linoleoum in the kitchen with only paying for the linoleoum and having my awesome construction friends install it.

Whoo HOO! I feel pretty good right now.

Best of luck to you with the apartment Jenn. And when those guys get done with your linoleum send em over here, I'm replacing my kitchen floor soon, so I'll have to re-do the tile.

I support you all the way, Furls! Gee, Isaiah's parents must be real classy people, huh? (Sorry, right now, severe sarcasm is all I can summon to express my feelings towards those people.)

Furls, I can't even begin to imagine how frustrating that must be. I hope that it works out in your favor :(

They are good actors, could almost win the Oscar for "best grieving parents" they are playing it to the hilt. It took all the restraint I had not to just leap across the table and strangle that woman when she was on the witness stand. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :x

It's my turn today, tho...and I intend to tell it like it is...and was. Thank God Isaiah had a living will that clearly states where he wanted his resting place to be. How it got this far, I have no idea...they are simply the worst people I have ever met, and I've met quite a few undesireable people in my life. Hate pours off them like sweat. There is no way I would ever give him back to those abusers.

I could kick myself for letting them know four years ago that he passed.

Better. My new car was broken but now it's fixed. That means I can actually leave the city again.

In other news, I'm pretty sure my friend, who's disillusioned with her long-term boyfriend, has developed a crush on me. I can't be doing with that at the moment. *sigh* Hopefully she'll go off me...

Umm...that could be good, but don't lead him on. A heartbroken super is a very bad super.

Sorry to hear of the badness, Furls.

Oh, and I got my blood test back from the lab, and no problems. So hurray for that.
