You realize, don't you, that if you count EPIC FANTASY, this will be his 22nd book. 22 is a baleful but powerful building force in numerology. A good omen for the start of a difficult but powerful series.

Okay I must have missed something somewhere. 22 Stephen R. Donaldson books?
Lets see:
TC Series I = 3 books
TC Series II = 3 books
Gap Series = 5 books
Mordents Need = 2 books
Reed Stephens = 3 books <?>
Short Stories: Reave the Just and Daughter of Regals.
That makes: 18
What am I missing?

THE MAN WHO FOUGHT ALONE, fourth in the MAN WHO series.
A monograph called EPIC FANTASY IN THE MODERN WORLD.
STRANGE DREAMS, the book of short stories which he edited but did not write.

Wow I've just stumbled across this board in the last few days to find out the awesomely great news about another series of TC books!
Life is full of surprises!
Between this, the extended edition of ROTK, and the next 2 King Dark Tower novels it's going to be an awesome year!
What an expected surprise! Here I thought things would be pretty quiet after ROTK came out!

Thanks for the welcome FF!
Old Darth is an attempt to mark me as someone whom saw the original SW when I began attending university. I also read the TC books when they first came out. So it's been awhile since I have been back to the Land.
Going to try rereading them before the third series comes out.

hi guys im new
well here's how i found you. in EBAY! i was looking for srd books in ebay and, don't ask me how, i ended up here lol
actually i got here by theland.antgear.com/ and when i saw he had "third Chronicles" listed i thought he was making up names like "The Runes of the Earth" as wishful names of future books he'd LIKE srd to write. i had no idea there was an actual new series.
anyway i am BLOWN AWAY by the news... this is just too much. i thought i was the only donaldson fan left on the planet anymore and even though the covenant books were required reading in the late 70's - early 80's it was getting harder to find people who knew who he was. or even knew the IMPACT those books had.
i was talking to a "rings" fan last year about the series and i told him "there is one OTHER series thats just as good" and he didn't know what i was talking about.
god, everyone read those books back then...
i would LOVE to see movies made out of the book. srd is a national treasure. ..
