Don't worry the names pop up on Windows Media player--at least for the Anthology...yes! we are enjoying him very much--I heard one song of a few years ago on Radio Free Santa Fe before it went off the air-didn't know who the artist was--have to get home to find out which one. 8)

The White Stripes - Elephant
Disregarding Get Behind Me Satan, which I can't really match up with the earlier stuff, I think if I put The White Stripes albums in order of best to worst they'd go in reverse order of release - Elephant, White Blood Cells, De Stijl, and The White Stripes. I've never really gotten into their debut, but they get better with each release.

I am listening to the Lincoln Center Jazz orchestra version of the jazz symphony A Love Supreme. It was originally done by John Coltrane and a quartet. I really love both versions -- and I like to celebrate the differences of the two recordings - the music is glorious either way, but it has a very different sound with the big band as opposed to the quartet. :)

Editors - The Back Room

I'm usually loathed to buy a record that's been advertised on TV (especially with a Zane Lowe voiceover), but the spooky guitar and crooned vocals on Munich somehow drew me in. Quite pleased with it on the whole, they manage to have a distinctive sound without becoming too samey, which seems a difficult thing to achieve on e breakthrough album nowadays.
