Pretty quiet since the launch.
I haven't started in on my 80's yet. I did start a worgen hunter and a goblin warrior. Liked the intro set ups for both of them Worgen being dark mooded, but a good story. I don't think I had a character die as much in the first few levels as that worgen. They had a respawn timer of about 10 seconds on one quest and there were a lot of mobs there to begin with. The Goblin starting off with an opposite mood, racing around town in a hot rod with your chums till things start going to pieces.

I picked it up on Tuesday evening, seems pretty good so far (Vash'jir is infinitely more exciting than Hyjal though, the intro sequence alone, plus Gnaws the shark and seashorses!).
It's still pretty busy everywhere and I'm playing on a 2-year-old macbook, so my framerate is pretty bad at times - Hyjal especially sometimes slows down to about 1-2fps for long periods of time - which can kind of ruin it a bit, but it's not so bad.
It's kind of depressing replacing all my hard-won purples with random-drop greens though
I made a goblin and played him for a couple of levels, seems quite good. One guy was standing next to the starting place asking how he could get into his racecar over and over so I just sat in my car next to him beeping my horn for 5 minutes while he got more and more angry with me, that was pretty fun.

So a friend got me to start playing WoW recently. So far I've got a level 20 Orc rogue, a troll hunter and an undead warlock.
While it's not the best game I've played, I've paid good money for worse games. I've also mostly solo'd so far; playing with other people seems much more entertaining, though I haven't had the chance to do much yet.

Few things I love more than solo'ing or a good rep grind, but yeah, not having the people to fall back on makes it a lot less fun. I'd strongly suggest moving to The Scryers, going alliance, and joining our guild. As someone who speaks from experience, I say most people (and the guilds they form) are assholes.

I am having fun! Got my Shammy, Warlock, and Druid up to 85. And leveling Alchemy, Inscription, and Leatherworking.
A BIG challenge will be crafting. Best gear needs Chaos Orbs - and they are Heroic drops that are BoP. That will require the crafters to be leveled as well (my Mage and Hunter.)
For now - I am gonna focus on Shammy heals (and DPS) and getting him geared for heroics and guild rep to Honored. After that same-same for Warlock.
Will have to worry about leveling crafters later and it leaves my poor Worgen rogue at level 22. So many toons - so much to do!

Are guilds per character, per server or per player?
Anyway, I started a Dwarven Paladin named Gundlaugen on The Scryers.

Guilds are single server and can be joined on a character by character basis.

I'd just like to add that I'm the GM of the alliance guild on Moon Guard [US] <Odd Company>. We're a late night raiding/social guild, friendly to RP and PvP as well. Any KWers on Moon Guard, feel free to send Pellá (that's alt 160 for the funky "a"), my paladin.

Haha, still here, still hanging out in the Cathedral blowing things up.
...I kid, that was one time and it was a joke.
But come on, Corpse Explosion on every thing in the Cathedral District at once WOULD be pretty nice. >.> All those bad RPers, all those hamboigahs...

for those of you who don't have facebook, posted this on the Legacy fb page.
Of course the one downside to the need for hunter CC is that too much of the tank community is not educated about how hunter CC works. I’ve seen this not just in pugs, but also in guild groups where the tanks genuinely don’t know — or have forgotten — how hunter trapping works.
I’m sure you’ve all been there. It goes something like this:
Tank: Irv, you trap square.
Irvea: Got it.
Tank: Jhem, sap moon.
Jhemtar: Okay.
Tank: Everyone wait for Jhem to sap.
Jhemtar: (saps moon)
Tank: (charges into the first mob instantly after the sap, pulling square to him)
Irvea: (desperately changes tactics, drops a trap at feet, and shoot a distracting shot at square to pull it out)
Tank: (sees that he’s lost aggro and taunts square)
Irvea: pew pew pew pew pew pew feign death out of the wipe
Tank: Damnit Irv, I told you to trap square!
(stolen from Frosthiem on Warcraft Hunter's Union Joys of Trapping article)

Hunter CC is pretty good with Launch Trap available for setting up before the pull. Heck, if you can wait 30 seconds for the trap cooldown a Hunter can trap two mobs at the same time.

Soo... I'm gonna start raiding on Alti again, since she's 100% fireproof.
BRB, soloing Deathwing.

Well, I had fun for a month, but with school going again and other projects I need to pay attention to, I decided not to pay for another month.
Blizzard is kind enough to keep your characters around, so I might sign up again in the future.

I am stupid.
Bought my Mage the healing belt recipe when I meant to buy the pattern for the dps belt, all ready to make it on the spot.
Trying to see if anyone in trade is willing to do a straight swap, if not I might take the risk, craft the healing belt, put it on the AH, and buy the dps belt with gold.

I have both - was going to craft healing belt for Jinity. I can make DPS belt and swap. BUT might be a few days before I have all the volatiles to craft. So depends on how fast you need to go!

Good news, everyone!
Starfall will no longer strike targets that are not in combat
It only took them several years to do it, too!
Looks like they're making some major gameplay changes to Strand of the Ancients - the cannons shoot faster (and the buggy ones are fixed) and the demos can't carry passengers.
