Praise the AllFather for the blessing of being able to recall the words of those who have passed beyond us...

"Yes. Bhakti has told us it is a word from a star-faring race in another reality, and means 'Eden.'"
"Yes, child. You have learned your lessons well." Smiling, Wiri strokes the student's hair. "But Shakari is not Eden only here on Eiran. When Eiran dies, Shakari will live! Bhakti will preserve the Love and Health of our glorious Forest, and take it to a new planet! In his Love and Wisdom, Bhakti has created an Eden that will be a chain, going from one place to another, to another, to another. It will grow in a unique way each time, depending on the conditions of each planet. But it will always be Shakari! It will live on until the end of all things, when all of reality returns to the Primal State of Infinite Love!"
"Wiri!" the girl cried in wonder and joy. "What a beautiful plan! Our Forest will ensure that Love and Health are spread throughout all the universe! Praise Bhakti!"
"Indeed, child! Praise Bhakti!"
There will
always be one of the line of Bhakti in the Pantheon...
won't there?

If the Pantheon is True, yes. If it works for the betterment of Eiran, no matter the challenges; if it does not run away.

I put more stock in "New Age rubbish" than in you
ever getting me to influence Bhakti in a way that does him harm, m'-rd Nor Yekith!!! It is my hope that whatever force was behind those words has given up the ghost. They still haunt me, as I have no idea to what you refer.

I admit I have a plan in the works to attempt to escape, brother. But if you call upon me to stay, despite the challenges, you have my pledge I will do so for as long as my followers will keep me strong by their faith.
-OOC-
:::sigh:::
Let me guess. That really should go into the Game thread, right?

Xar, I have a question about the Oath of the Allfather. Let's say a deity tells me, "On the Oath of the Allfather, I will use DRP's Bhakti gives me to blah blah blah." Let's say that deity takes the Oath in the Game thread, or in private communication to Xar, who then forwards it to me, so I know exactly what was sworn. Satisfied with the deity's intentions, I give the deity DRP's that turn.
What happens if that deity then breaks the Oath? Is there a penalty? Or do you simply inform me (or the Pantheon) that the Oath was broken?

Heh. Adomorn must be getting senile. I forgot all about that.

Oh, there is a penalty... there is DEFINITELY a penalty. Depending on the degree by which the Oath is broken, it could be anything from a LARGE reduction in number of followers (and DRPs) to "expulsion" for one or two turns (in which case the player couldn't act but the god and followers, and their lands, would still be left open to attack and the like).

Rules have been updated to Version 2.4. Of particular interest to ALL deities should be the fact that now it IS possible to slay, banish or trap another deity directly, without going through his/her worshipers first - as long as both attacker and target are Manifested.

That is quite a change. I wondered how Yek intended to kill me when I Manifest in Nor Pupae, since I have much more than 500 followers. Thanks for the info, on both matters.

Well, you were kind enough to extend me an invitation to see what you have been cooking up in there all this time. It would be rude of me to refuse...

Oh, I just found out you sent power to Argothoth to destroy me. First, how unfortunate you were fooled. Second, and this is important, it really shows how much of a hypocrite you are. For all your talk about how I am breaching the law, you try to cause me harm. I won't forget this, Tree-hugger.

I have such wonderful things planned for you and your sapling . . . uh, I mean son. Nor Pupae awaits you both, now.

You misunderstand.
I wish there
were no Laws. I wish you could be treated as you deserve. The Law prevents us from acting against you without suffering penalties until you have already devestated us.
As for Argothoth, yes, I sent him a DRP, because he begged me for it. He said he wanted to fulfill his dream, and was coming up short. (Which he seems to have done!

) In honor of his help with an orc problem a few years ago, I gave in. If he betrays me, then at least I will know I died because I thought I was helping a friend.

I will not be bringing Zephyr with me. Oh, btw, I am told I cannot Manifest in Nor Pupae, because of the Star. The best I can do is Manifest on the border, and walk in. I suppose the land-bridge between the two halves of Khenstorn is the best option.

Your pity is so sad and laughable.

I would advise you do so. All you need do is give me the sphere of forests, and I will depart this world immediately.

If all you want is the domain, why all this talk of manifestation and sacrifice and so on? Why not just demand he give you it right at the beginning, rather than asking for more and unnecessary actions?
(Also, this looks like Game Thread material.)

No doubt.

If that is all you wanted, I could have simply given it up, and you could have taken it. Killing me (and you have now renewed your threat to my son) was never necessary for the transfer of a domain.
(heh. Maeror beat me to it.)
