Lorin! Next time someone says, hey let's desecrate this ancient Indian burial ground, say NO okay? :) Jokes aside, I can feel your life-suckage, and wish you strength. You are being tested.

Lorin - thinking about you. If positive thoughts from the heartland can improve your situation, even incrementally, then feel the energy, 'cause it's headed your way.

My Monday is starting out strangely well. Let's hope work doesn't screw that up too bad. ;)

I get about one spam post a day on mine, and the only place I link it is here. But filters on these things are pretty good at catching them anyway. They almost never make it onto the posts.

I had a pretty good day. Made a bit more progress on operation peg hook. I also realized that the convention is THIS coming Saturday and Derek had scheduled me in the copy center at the store because Alex transferred out. Therefore I had to do some begging and shift moving and finally got Bryce to cover the store. I was swamped in the copy center during the last half of the day and finally printed out the email about my convention duties and realized that the email was a series of links for me to click and read. Ugh. Looks like I'll be spending some time in the office studying tomorrow. I also need to print and look over the suggested plans for a full size copy center so I am prepared on Thursday. I'm thinking Manny needs to make me a special job and pay me fat bank to go into stores and clean up and reset their problem areas. He knows the incredible job I did with receiving in Emeryville, what I have done with the copy center here and soon he will be treated to my skills out at the San Rafael store. Jacob also talked about having me come out and help with their receiving area. Same rules apply as for this job. :P

Anyway, today was pretty even keel, not much exciting. I think the worst thing that happened to me all day was that I got out late and got home and was tired and popped off my shoes, dropped my bag down, came in the kitchen and brought up my email and then went to feed Moose and realized I was out of moosechow so I had to get my shoes back on and my jacket and walk back down to the store in the rain to get some moosechow. So all in all, not bad at all.

I am a little worried that Lorin hasn't posted anything since the message about getting robbed. Has anyone talked to her at all?

the warden, asst warden, major and captain all inspected the kitchen today. ignoing all the problems they chose to focus on some drain covers...

micromanaging at it's finest.

shorthanded by one - ended losing 30 minutes because of it - 30 minutes of unpaid time.

i am sick of inmates and management.

I am doing well, good day. Decided to start a new thread to take my extensive blathering out of this thread and into it's own thread. Hope you don't mind Ali.

Otherwise same old grind. Work/uni/drink/work/uni.

Pain! The newest bane of my existence..... push-up / plank / row.
Get two light (I use 10lb) dumbbells, and grip them while getting into a push-up position, arms beneath your lower chest and with a wide leg stance. Do a push-up, and at the top, hold briefly, then row with your right arm, pulling the dumbbell up to your side. Arm down, then repeat -- push-up, hold, row with left arm.
I can't do very many yet. Just a struggling 3 sets of 10, and *very* raggedy-sloppy at the end. A day later, my ribs hurt in places I didn't know I had muscle. Plank = hard!

Thank goodness for Vitamin I!

Lorin, sorry to hear.

Work is all consuming now. I have a young family and a full-on job. I start at 7.30am and work through to around 6pm. I go home and do family stuff until about 8.30pm and then work again from about 9pm - midnight on average. I'm doing a project that finishes 1 July 2012. I'm not sure if I'll make it...

Give me strength ye gods!

I had no idea what a charley horse was. I wondered if you were a farm girl or a vet or something, then I wiki'd the following. Now if only you'd said you woke up with a corky!
A charley horse is a popular North American colloquial term for painful spasms or cramps in the leg muscles, typically lasting anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours. Such an injury is known in the United Kingdom, United States, and many Commonwealth countries as a dead leg, granddaddy, or chopper.[1][2] In Australia it is also known as a corked thigh or "corky."[3]
On thread... I was going to bed HOURS ago when I made the mistake of wandering into The Close.

I feel like more people should play the bad writing contest in Mallorys!.

I'm also very frustrated with the job I am working now. It is a drupal site what needs a cover flow module to display photographs, but none of the modules I found that do a cover flow (like the cover flow in iTunes) seem to want to easily implement. There are many other image flow formats, but the client very specifically wants the iTunes style cover flow. This has been a day the deserves chocolate.

I'd blame the full moon, specially if I were female. I feel pretty dam great now that I can walk normally today after over a week of pain. (No it's not my serious condition ali---it's something that has to do with drinking, even though I don't anymore---that I curse my Irish third for) :P

I've got a couple of cell numbers for her; One is her work Blackberry, but I'm never sure which one is which. Anyway, I just texted her on one of them. Will let you know if she replies.
