Surely it has to better living in a place where you don't need a gun. I'm a great believer in karma - be at peace with the world and the world will be at peace with you, sort of thing. Of course bad things do happen and I wouldn't go walking up a dark alley late at night thinking I was completely immune.

I'm worried the Gov.uk will cancel Christmas. A majority of people here it seems are disregarding 'no masks, no entry' zones. I was wearing a mask today and was constantly being 'looked at'. It made me feel oddly out of place. Anyway, fingers-crossed autumn/winter won't bring on a second wave.

The Government can cancel things like mad shopping, concerts, even church services. But surely they can't cancel snow, holly, sweaters, turkey, pumpkin pie, gifts, carols, hope, the baby Jesus, hot cocoa, decorating trees, and family.

No more than you do 😉 or maybe a tiny bit more than you do.

Do you need to be licensed? Who issues that license? 😉

Are your firearms registered? With whom are they registered? 😉

😎 Two more than reasonable steps to firearms ownership here 😎
That's what America needs. Mandatory gun safety training, and background checks. It's crazy that these aren't in place.

football starts today. Patriots on TV. Is good. Other than the liberal bs messaging.

I live next to a sports stadium and I'm pretty sure I heard a loud roar last Saturday. At the time I thought it sounded more like relief than a goal being scored. I also live next to a primary school and during the week heard a big happy cheer from there.

Good to hear.

Feel like I actually got some reasonable amount of sleep last night for a change. :D

Otherwise, no real difference. Bit tired of living at work though. :D

Well don't move to a large [democrat] city in America before the election. Another columnist [liberal] has promised more violence if Joe loses.

Luckily we live an hour from Houston.

Don't move to a large republican city either...crime is no respecter of political affiliation. :D

Damn I just cannot believe how busy I've been...seems like all I do these days is put out fires (metaphorical ones) and everything is burning. :D

Stir crazy.

My boss quit. So when I get back I'll have someone new to deal with.

I hope that's a good thing.

There's been so much turnover at work that it's getting kind of absurd. Everyone is scared they're going to be next. One guy was fired because a crazy person threw him through a plate glass window. Technically he was fired for failing to de-escalate the situation. Crazy guy was on PCP or something. Good luck de-escalating that.

Everyone is stressed to the point where they're ready to snap. I've seen people who can usually keep their cool in almost any situation break down and cry over nothing.

This year sucks.

I just hope to keep shift and days off.

And yes 2020 sucks so bad.

Well spent the day tidying up my study. :D Its been used as a sick-room for my cat for the last 4 months and looked it. :D

It's still being used for that, although she is almost better now (I mean, she is better, she just not walking well enough for me to be willing to let her out yet), but at least there's a semblance of order again. :D

I try. Tropical storm hit the gulf. Flooded Galveston and Surfside that I know of so far. We are getting rain here.
