Hello. I've been a lurker on the Watch for quite some time and finally decided to create an account. I've been reading SRD since I first found his books many moons ago. I already "know" many of you from my lurking days, I look forward to actually posting once in awhile. I also post questions to the GI as "Michael from Santa Fe".

Be Welcome to the Watch, Zenlunatic, be Welcome and True. I have admired many of your GI questions for a long time.

Have you visited the
thread here on the Watch devoted to discussing questions and answers from the Gradual Interview? Since the Watch has members world-wide, and many of your questions are featured in that thread, I think "world famous" is a valid description.

Yes, I have visited that thread, of course, I love the GI. I've been lucky that SRD has not gotten tired of me and continues to answer my questions (I almost always submit my quota each month). He may not answer one of the ones I submitted this month:
[So, once you have released "The Last Dark" who will you bring out of the closet?]
But we'll see...<wink>

I've thought about it, but it's just never worked out. Besides, I'm world famous, the crowds and security would spoil it for everyone else.

Ah, you got me...when I wasn't pretending I was Jim Morrison I lurked on Kevin's Watch and submitted questions to the GI. Busted...

I think you should just change your username to Michael from Santa Fe...it would clear a lot of things up.

I thought about it but decided against it for a few reasons, but it came down to I just didn't want to use it in both the GI and on the Watch. Hopefully, it's not too confusing.

I was just kidding.
I had assumed though, that you were already a member of KW.
I usually use both my real name, and username on the GI
Andrew (drew): HI Mr Donaldson. An easy question for you: How many copies (if any!!) of your published books do you own? Do you have a copy of each different cover for every book? Do you have any of the translated copies of your works?
My publishers are supposed to send me multiple copies of every book in every new edition (or repackaging) in every language. My US and UK publishers are faithful about this (perhaps because I deal with them directly): foreign language publishers are sporadic at best. So I have a random assortment of my books in languages other than English

Yeah I'll bet it pretty cold there in Santa Fe.
What is it seventy?
Brrrrrrrrrr
BTW have you signed on to the FR thread?
It's hidden to protect people who haven't read it yet for accidentally finding stuff out.

Uh no, this morning it was 10 (and that's not Celcius), right now it's 30, but the wind is blowing at 30mph, so the wind chill is - whatever, something...I don't know how they figure that out - but it feels less than 30.

Wow...I honestly didn't think it went below freezing there.
Its minus ten where I'm at (but that IS celcius)

Well, Santa Fe is at an altitude of about 7000ft, so yeah, it gets cold.
