Linna, I had almost the identical accident 4 years ago, except no traffic light. Thank God everyone was okay!!! (in my case and yours)
I also had a home invasion 5 years ago. It was weird because they came in when we were all home, with guns and face masks. I was so horrified I just wrapped my arms around my then 11-year old daughter and started praying while she cried.
Thankfully, I have this amazing husband who has this gift of being able to talk calm and sense into people who are crazed with rage, drugs, whatever. After about a half-hour of being held hostage these men suddenly left, dropping half of what they had stolen. They left pretty much everything truly valuable, and no one was harmed. I have to say we were so surprised at how easy we got off that it wasn't really a terrible trauma for any of us. My son (then 15) said, the worst happened and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Anyway I am doing much better. Had a day off and spent hours journaling through my issues. Feel a very keen sense of relief.

Hope you are all blessed with the same.
null, post away buddy!!

Hahaha a friendbox is where a girl puts you when she decides you're a friend and that's all you're going to be, thus rendering you a completely asexual, aromantic being in her eyes.

linna - thank God you came through that well!
update from my week-long schooling : first day we had the physical test. need a 75 to pass, worked hard to get a 79. i vow to be in better shape next year and get a 100.
have to lift a 45 lb bag and walk with it, set it down, pick it up and carry it again. passed easily.
1/4 mile walk/run. staggered timing - so many points per time. 3 minutes and under is the best - did mine 4 min 16 sec.
climbing a ladder, 5 sets needed, did 4 in alloted time. semi-passed.
one point each for sit-ups, push-ups and squats. did 6 sit ups, 2 push ups... leaving me some mid 20 points from passing. finished strong with 30 squats.
then that night went to fair and found i had one best in class for the lapel pin collection mounted on board. julie has called to find out why i did not get a certificate.
todasy shooting hot ten out of ten on the rifle. pistol is almost impossible to fail. (.357) shotgun is just point and shoot.

Hmmm, you might be surprised, depending on how patient you're prepared to be...

I was going to say the same thing. The Friend Zone is where you find long-term relationships. Patience, my friend.

Oh, I'm a
very patient guy, and that's actually my hope for the future. I don't want this girl for a quick fling, I want her to be next to. Really most of what I want with her I get within our friendship anyway...there's just that other space that I'm prepared to go to and she isn't, which discourages me. But what I am also prepared to do is hang in the friendbox indefinitely, whether her desires change or not. Worst case scenario I've got a long term intimate friendship. Best case scenario her feelings change over time to something else. I don't want to give any impression of bitterness, which looking back could easily have been read into my posts. I'm just feeling a littel frustrated and rejected.

Yeah, I see your point. My friends are what makes my life worth living. I really shouldn't complain about gaining another.
Now I'm going to stop boring you all with whinges about my personal life. Carry on folks.

Touche, Sorus.
Just got back from a gay rights protest march. Was good fun to be had on my day off. I got to wave a big rainbow flag. My inner child approved.

Then give it a year or two and just keep being awesome until she realises she'll never find somebody better than you.

Amen!!
I'm tired. and yet, I'm telling myself that I'm NOT tired because lately that's all I'd be. I get done with my work day and want to melt into a gelatinous blob. Yesterday I spent about a half hour watching old Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny cartoons. I really had to laugh because they are sooooooooooooooo not politically correct, which makes them awesome in my book!!

I'm sorry you are frustrated at work Sorus. I wish there was something I can do to make it better. I wish you could have seen Derek's dramatic meltdown when I told him that official word had come down that we get Sal in two weeks. He quit then Kin had to talk him down from his temper tantrum.
