Yeah! Luckily, I just scored a great big bag (. . . of potato chips, yeah, that's it . . . ) so I'm ready to have my mind blown.

Unfortunately, I'm working myself pretty hard right now. Seven days a week. Not much time for reading.

There's a pretty good review up on Amazon.com. Non-spoiler, but hints at things and gives a couple of plot details from the first two chapters.

I have got an appt at a customer today, then will pick mine up at lunch or afternoon before I go home. I won't start it until I have a few uninteruptable hours to begin it though.

I called Amazon.

It seems that some orders are delayed because THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH BOOKS !!!

I had a real long talk with them about what the heck they thought "pre-order" meant. Like, doesn't that mean YOU KNOW HOW MANY YOU NEED! But they did not budge to my extremely good logic.

It doesn't seem matter that I pre-ordered back in April and people who pre-ordered, like, yesterday, are getting theirs, either.

I'd cancel my order. Books-A-Million is selling for 30% off of cover price, which would end up being about what you'd pay with shipping. Tell Amazon to stick it.

Wow, Way, that's incredibly lame. Yeah, you're right..."Pre-order" should mean something...

I'm going to stop by the local bookstore in town on the way home today from school and hope they have a copy.

Of course...I have no idea when I'll be able to read the bloody thing...heh.

WF, that is lame. I got my shipping notice but like Jenn there's no info other than "the carrier has been notified to pick up the package."

Intriguingly, yesterday there was a UPS notice on my door when I got home. You can imagine my first reaction, until I saw it was UPS and not USPS (who could just put it in the mailbox anyway).
