Did anyone notice that Danial, as described by Ellen, has all of the attributes Baltar lacks? Maybe the warping of his line by Cavil gave us the Baltar we know and love today. I think he might be a Danial that Cavil dropped on earth as another phase in his petty cruelty.

Sorry for the double post - but this is worthy of a cheap bump. Just happened to find this on the BSG website.

Joe Adama and ...Danial Greystone. Is there a connection?

In the last episode, didn't Cara Thrace react to Daniel's name - something like, "Daniel? Are you sure about the word?"

Anyone else notice the Brain guy was none other than the PC from the Apple commercials???

Yeah, I'm a pretty big fan of John Hodgeman (he's also a daily show correspondent). It was a pretty neat Cameo, added a little flavor to an episode that was mostly exposition. (albeit very excited and much needed exposition!)

Looks good - initially I wasn't too interested in a prequel, but this actually looks OK.

Daniel Greystone apparently
Spoiler
created the Hybrids, so it could certainly be that he is Model 7 Daniel
Not sure if that's a spoiler or already given to us in the series proper?

We just learned that, before the Final Five reached the colonies, the colonies had only managed to make Centurians, who were at war with their human creators. The Centurians had also started trying to make organics, and the hybrids were what they had accomplished. When they arrived, the Final Five told the Centurians that, if they (Centurians) stopped the war, they (F5) would help them make organics. Daniel was one of the eight models of organics the F5 made.

Yea, I absorbed all that (and boy was there alot to absorb in this past episode), but, I wasn't sure that Daniel Greystone was actually revealed to be the Hybrid creator, or that he was model #7 Daniel. Now the question remains how, since Ellen gave me the impression that Model #7 Daniel never made it out of the goo bath.

Ah! Duh. I hadn't thought of the possibility of there being two entirely different characters named Daniel.

IIRC, Ellen said #7 Daniel was an artist. So I guess he was an adult too, and Cavil poisoned the amniotic fluid where his clone bodies were grown. When the current Daniel died, that was that.

So.....
Humanity started on Kobol and made Cylons:
[why did they leave Kobol again?]

Probably had the same war on Kobol that happened on Earth and in the Colonies.

Oh, there apparently has been a Daniel already shown in the Series. Bulldog, the Black Guy who Adama sent over the Cylon line back in the day, who escaped and returned to Galactica, while they were on the run was apparently named Daniel. Read that on another site, someone hwo read it on a Website called Frak or something similar.

Yea, me too, that's one I never kept track of either (I do pride myself though on always knowing #7 was missing (The known 7 run from 1-8, with no model #7). Many people think a mysterious missing #7 came out of thin air.

See, I never caught that. I always assumed that one of the Final Five was model #7.

Yup, 7 regular skin jobs
Cavil #1,
Doral #2, 4 or 5,
D'Anna #3 ,
Leoban #2, 4, or 5,
the Dr #2, 4, or 5,
Six/Natalie/Caprica #6,
and Sharon #8
(Models 1-8, not sure I have Doral, Leobon and the Dr in the right order)

5 Final Five (Ellen, Tigh, Tori, Anders, Tyrol)

And a Daniel in a Goo Bath (#7)
