Unfortunately not.

Like Rincewind, I consider "boredom" to be highly under-rated. :D

Sometimes I feel like the Watch is indeed "so quiet you can hear a pin drop" but then suddenly there is a burst of activity for no reason in particular. As long as someone visits during the course of a day I don't get too down about things.

Of course as I say all that there is no one to be found. :-)

Oops. I guess I should have checked. Now there are 5 users on the Watch. See.

You can really hear the echo this morning. Like an abandoned aircraft hanger filled with fading memories.

Hmmm, feel the metaphor needs a little work perhaps...good concept though... :D

Would you believe an empty aquarium filled with the ghosts of thousands of toilet flushed tropical fish?

How about a laundry basket filled with tube socks and purring kittens?

How about a dry cistern replete with the haunting echoes of thousands of lonely drips of water, now lost to the intangible currents of time and the cruel indifference of neglect.

Or...

a home, emptied of the heartbeat of life
the walls, witness to the darkening of the past
the floor, forgotten footfalls tread to the grave
above, a filter of souls ascension to oblivion

Too far?

I'll stick with the laundry basket filled with tube socks and purring kittens.

Walls was good.

I was thinking something like "an abandoned hanger filled with the echoes of forgotten flights" or something. :D

I think you've resolved the issue. :-)

Like a warehouse filled with empty boxes.
Like a sunset, unwatched.
Like a dry swimming pool, its once smooth surfaces cracked by the encroachment of nature, lichen unrestrained by the absence of the maintenance of man.
Like an ancient meal prepared for the return of a love lost to frigid winds that now chill only ghosts of a long forgotten past.
Like a sunken submarine, her hull crushed by the midnight depths, her crew abandoned by pressures as cruel and unforgiving as the laws of fate and death, focused and magnified.
Like a city built for millions, home to none.

Okay. I'll keep it real.

Watch seems quiet today. Must be a holiday I'm not familiar with.
