I finally finally got Iain Banks's The Algebraist in the mail. I had ordered it a couple of months ago and was wondering why it had not come. Then a few days ago I got a postcard in the mail from the place I had ordered it from - they said that the post office had contacted them telling them that their package to me was found damaged and empty. :? So in their postcard to me they said they would fill my order again. :) Finally the book came. :)

In the same package also came a science fiction novel called Mammoth by John Varley. In it, a millionaire apparently decides it would be cool to clone a mammoth. It sounded like it might be interesting, so I thought I would take a chance on it, though I am not familiar with the author. :)

Some Arthur Machen works I found; a 1926 edition signed by Machen of Dreads And Drolls, and the first editon of The Hill of Dreams (1907).

I'm also rounding out my Mishima Yukio collection by snagging a 1975 editon of Acts of Worship - Mishima Yukio is simply a god.

Today I also got my copies of Michael de Larrabeiti's Borribles (that Brys has been pudhing on me) collected in 700+ pages, as well as a copy of the first edition of the first book (1976)

Went on a comic (all but one Hardcover) binge off of some rec's from forum members elsewhere:

The Name of the Game by Will Eisner
Crisis on Infinite Earths (Absolute)
The World's Greatest Super-Heroes by Paul Dini, and Alex Ross
New X-Men Volume 1 by Grant Morrison,
Lucifer by Mike Carey
Powers Volume 1 by Brian Michael-Bendis,
Seven Soldiers by Grant Morrison
Runaways by Brian K. Vaughn
Fable by Bill Willingham
The Book of Ballads by Charles Vess

Just picked up a copy of Asimov's Foundation. Of course, now I have to find all the rest of the series. Hmm, I need a list.

Color me envious. :?
