Ok, did my own sneaky and if I am correct he's posted on the net a few weeks ago. Not gonna tell you how or why or where. I'm also not going to try to contact him through it because my sneaky was very tricksy and again might not be him but I'm pretty sure it is. I'll try to contact him through his publicly accepted venues that were exchanged with me despite the fact that he may remain incommunicado. It also looks like he's doing ok.

How's the teaching thing going?
Well...
Short version: I'm on the substitute teacher list until I find out about a teaching job I applied for in Seoul, South Korea. At the beginning of the school year (which is now), there is usually not much need for a substitute teacher, so I'm basically not doing any teaching right now.

I am using my time of underemployment to learn how to cook, and learning Korean in case I do get the job, and otherwise being a bum.
If I don't get the job, I'm joining the Peace Corps, so I might be MIA again for a while, but not yet.

Thanks for the update on MM, Jenn. Let's hope he pops back in to see us soon...
Fingers crossed for something to happen for you employment-wise soon, Owlie.

Thank you. If he is coming around here or the Hangar or not is his personal private business, but I
really wanted to know whether or not he is OK, and from the sound of it he is.

Yeah, that was all I cared about too. As long as he's fine, that's fine.

Kaydene has been silent since August. What's up with that?

Hi everyone
Checking in with an apology for my absence. Many changes in my life right now. Got my first marshalls notice on my house, so it's time to move. I am looking for an apartment, not an easy task I discovered when your credit rating is in the shitter. The kids are gone, it is just me and helldog. Very scary times, very lonely times. No one to blame but myself (and HGTV).
But sometimes you have to lose in order to appreciate what you do have. I have lost all my material things but I still have my job, still have my health and still have my looks

I am trying to restructure my thought processes around these events and with a little creative thinking I can put a positive spin on this. I keep coming up with the analogy where farmers often set a field on fire before planting. After the fires are out, the charred remains fertilize the fields and the next years crops are fertile and healthy. Many times the farmers burn the fields before changing the crops. There is a small part of me feels a tinge of excitement not knowing what the future holds. Of course that is daily mixed in with regrets and shame at what I have done.
But for every bad there is a good. I got all three kids out of school, out of the house and on with their lives. Hopefully that will earn me a few points in heaven.
I have a tendency to isolate during hard times which is not healthy. I will work harder at keeping in touch. It is better for me to be around here where all the nice people are.

Isolating is exactly what you shouldn't do! You have a bunch of people here that care a lot about you! Good to see you back!
