I'm ready for the nap that I have no time to take.

I'm feeling a little bit better. Mini-me has been very sick. She's got the stomach virus that's been going around. And sometime in the middle of nursing the sick, I also came down with it. Been a bit of a challenge, but I think we're both better today.

I've had a mixed day. I got a free haircut. . . but I don't know that I like it. And I had lunch with my good friend, but I entertained my sweet-yet-fussy-from-being sick goddaughter for 3 hours while her mom was getting her hair cut and colored. And now I'm exhausted.

Also, I called the place about my resume, and the phone call was going very well (and I got compliments on my resume!), but I was regretfully informed that state regulations require your degree be in human services (and my Master's degree would qualify. . . if I took the 3-4 classes I need to finish it). So nice person, nice phone call, but no job there. And it paid very well.

Following that, I called my old insurance company to see about getting a refund my insurance (I switched carriers). I was basically shut down, so no money back, and I am going to have to send a copy of my current insurance to get them to figure out if I will get any of my money back. I could really have used that $92.

I feel exhausted and defeated. . . and I think I will go lay down for a nap before I start crying.

The last two mornings, I've had horrible commutes. Each day, it's taken me at least an hour to get to the Metro station (usually takes about 20-25 min. if there's no traffic). Stop-and-go the whole way. The Universe is getting back at me for wanting a car with a stick shift....

I'm in a grump.

Tired, yet relaxed. Just got home after my time away and back to work tomorrow which never feels right!

Oh girl! That sux! I hope you both get feeling better and better. I hate to see the kids get sick, especially that kind of sick. So pitiful!

Worst day ever...transmission in my car went out on the way to class, the test i studied 25 hours for this weekend didn't cover 90% of what i studied, not a good day at all.

I am frustrated. I have spent way too much time trying to find speakers for a talk.

Plus, I have to study for a re-certifying exam which I need to pass to keep my job. I think I am going about studying all wrong and not getting anywhere fast. Gah! I need a new study strategy.

And I haven't eaten dinner yet and it's almost 11pm!

Feeling better, Mini-me is officially back on solid foods for the time being.

My dad is in the hospital with chest pains; they're going to do a cardiac catheter thing and possibly put in another stent in about 3 hours....and, I'm still jobless.

My Dad's in the hospital again for a leg infection-but they got it quicker this time, so he's fine. But I swear if my sister doesnt take his new kitty to the vet I'm going to fly out there and declaw the lil bastard myself!
