OH! And nothing screams sexy louder than a dotard shirt and grey plaid flannel pajama bottoms.
I'm irresistable in that getup!

Congratulations, Jenn! And glad to hear that EL is doing well. . .
Hugs and supportful thoughts for dAN, Danlo, Lord Foul, Storm and Sarge. Hope I didn't miss anyone.
I spent the day babysitting my little goddaughter. She has an ear infection.
It looks like I'll be doing the same on Friday. It's good, in a way, that I don't have a job yet.
Anyway, I'm tired but feeling better.

So, we got hit by hurricane strength winds of 130kmph yesterday afternoon. It lasted about 4 hours. At one stage (due to there being heaps of dust in the atmosphere) we got red rain (mud rain). The eye of the storm was brilliant. Suddenly everything stopped...and then wacko!
Power was out for 18 hours... And, well...my poor town looks like it's been hit by a bomb. trees down everywhere. I don't know the exact extent of the damage (I haven't gone looking as it's still foul weather today!). We were lucky with only our back fence half coming down and some of our larger trees losing all their limbs but no damage to the house.
Of course, my partner was over 500km away and we were freaking but heh...WE'RE ALIVE!!!!!

I haven't heard a thing about a storm headed your way, Sea! Were y'all given any warning?
Yeah, they were expecting it. We don't get hurricanes here so they're calling it hurricane/cyclonic winds (we don't get cyclones down here either). It was a weird weather system. They're saying a once in 100 years storm. It affected most of my state.
I found a cool pic of where my parents live, up north: this is a Mallee dust storm (it wasn't as bad down here--I live in the south)...but this pic was taken yesterday.
