A Minister of Spiritual Faith. Reverend John.
it's more of a personal formality, but I
can legally marry people.
I'm more of a contemporary consultant, than an old fashioned preacher.....except maybe the Pale Rider one.....

Congratulations mate. You can marry me someday. You never know we may get married in NY....unlikely but not impossible. Wont be for a while yet, though.
Edit:when i say marry me I dont mean you and me, I mean...you get the picture. heh.

Tired. Got back from Tampa yesterday seeing the new grandbaby and she is so beatiful, it was kind of hard to leave but had to come back to work. And of course, (my usual luck) I came down with a nasty summer cold just before we left to go down there so it was Wednesday before I would even hold her. Dottie (my co-grandma) and I are trying to figure out something to meet in Tifton, Ga once a month or so. That's kind of the halfway point betweeen here and Tampa. Doesn't look like there is much to do there but for the first few months that's really not an issue either.
A little down. Ben goes back to Baghdad today. Uh, 4 more months and he'll be done with this tour. I would like to hope that would be it for a while but.....and I guess I need to go call Pam and make sure she is ok.

Aww Ducky! I'm as clucky as you are at the moment, cos I just got a BRAND NEW BUBBY NIECE!!! Sophia Racquel was born Sunday July 16, weighing in a 9lb (4.1kg) and 20 inches (51cm) long. My bro took a pic of her with his cell phone and she looks identical to my nephew Daniel when he was born, except she has a tuft of dark hair & his was wispy blonde!
Will get a post & pic up tomorrow - visiting them tonight!

Great news, Elfy. Please, don't corrupt her with your Sawyer obsession.

Thanks for the good wishes folks, will have to see what happens. It's not all good though, *shrug* Looks like the school the GF is working at will be closing down. *sigh*
Esmer...I'm not sure whether to congratulate you or run screaming...

Well...the house moving finally all worked out (well, it didn't really as the weekend move turned into a week long move using various techniques)...but we've finally got everything out of the new house. I spent all day cleaning the old house (urgh!) but that's done so I can start settling in to the new humble abode.
And we bought a *new* new car (yippee)...well, the bank bought it for us. We've never had a new car before so we're chuffed! Son of Seareach loves it, and my partner thinks it's great because the control for the MP3 player is on the steering wheel! Wacko!

we are receiving our deposit back from the house. after all of these months the mortgage company asked if we could get the house deeded to us. wtf? so we told them to just give us the damnable cash back. i'm building a lean to.

Let's all revolt!
If we all attack/loot a giant chain store en masse, what can they do about it? Just be sure to bring a forklift to get the heavy appliances loaded quickly (and to back over the security guards as they try and stop you!)
Hijack a gas station and give away free fuel to every passerby who doesn't look like they earn more than $50,000 a year.
Refuse to pay our taxes en masse. What are they gonna do, put the whole working class in jail?
Take all your money out of the bank and keep it under your mattress, like ol' Mal Fraser said (ex-PM of Australia) If the bank doesn't have any money, they can't charge you fees.
Find a way to bypass a connection from your electric meter/phone line to a rich neighbour's. They can afford it!

Boycott the banks! Wait, take your money out, and
then boycott the banks!
I'm with Elfy.
