The mine is amazing once you get a follower in there. Adds as many mine carts as there are nodes, with extra stuff in them on top of ore and stone. I've got my herb garden at level 2 but accidentally changed my only herbalist into a Hearthstone Expert, so can't assign a follower to boost output. :(

I discovered the treasure maps over the weekend, so spent much of my Sunday hunting down treasures. A lot of it is useless because they're items tuned for the zones and way below my level, but there are also a lot of hidden treasures that give garrison resources. Since I'm struggling to gather 2,000 for my level 3 upgrade, those are nice to have.

Also did my first heroic, which was easier than expected.

I need to do the treasure-hunting thing today. Hit 100 on my shaman last night, but I'm only sitting on 500/2,000 resources.

Also just got the Hearthstone thingy, but I'm afraid to use it. Secondary traits seem pretty random - there's only one follower listed as definitely having herbalism or mining, but I have two miners so far.

Dreading leveling my druid - boomkin is a misery for me even when it's at the top of the food chain, and I hear it's second from the bottom right now.

The followers you gain from quests and purchases have fixed traits, but they gain new ones at random (I think you have to give them xp at level 100 to get them to go from green to blue to purple so they gain more). Followers from the inn have one trait you choose and the rest random.

I made my first major garrison mistake by putting in a barn instead of a lumber mill. For some reason I thought the lumber mill was an outpost. Well, that's a setback.

On the bright side, the treasure map is very nice. Have found quite a bit already. Wish I'd had it while I was leveling.

Problem with the treasure map is you can't buy it until you have the achievement for the zone. So mostly after all the items it shows were useful.

It seems to know what I already did, so that's nice too.

Ah. Yeah, there's an ingame map does the same thing. 100g per zone from the archaeology vendor.

So close, but it's not happening today.

I finished my level 3 garrison last night. After farming as many treasures as I could, I got to 2500 resources.

You gain your three new spots, but also the quest for the pet battle arena, a much bigger town hall, and a tower that has target dummies and a portal to Stormshield.

I built a Barracks and an Inn in the new spots so I can work on getting my followers higher. I've had loads of missions I can't even do because the followers weren't high enough.

Got to level 3, but not enough resources to build anything new, though I did get the menagerie started.

In the same boat with followers - I have been actively leveling them, but I still have several level 100 missions that I can't complete, including a rare one that will grant my first Seal of Tempered Fate.

Of course, the alts that I got into the zone but have not been actively leveling have actually gained quite a lot of resources. I'm guessing I will be drowning in resources before long, but I want to finish my garrison now.

On the bright side, they will be able to afford that leveling potion that I avoided, and am I ever glad that I didn't give in to the temptation to buy a couple.

They've given every account that was active on Friday 5 days free game time. That's a total of 12 days free I've had since resubscribing...

Probably to placate all the people who were screaming on the forums during the launch issues. I actually thought the launch went fairly smoothly, all things considered - though they probably should have foreseen that dozens of people all trying to click one little item at once might be an issue.

There was some really horrendous lag on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon, and I was in a 2.5 hour queue on Friday night, but that's all the problems I had.

Folks were unable to enter their garrisons on the first night, which led to a six-hour maintenance which turned into an eight hour maintenance. The next day, the garrison instance was bugged, leaving people stranded on the flight path above, which led to another six-hour maintenance. And folks on high-pop realms had to deal with some fairly brutal queues, but we don't know about such things on Scryers/Garona. :P

Apparently missions vanish if you don't complete them in a certain amount of time. I no longer have the one for the Seal in my log. Should have taken the 50% odds on finishing it. Oh well, live and learn.

Yeah, they last a long time but I've seen a couple vanish.

I just failed an 80% chance at a 10,000xp bonus. :(
