Argothoth wrote: You are so sensitive, milady, too much sensitive in such kind of world. In the time of war, conquests and battles between gods, there is no space for your feelings... i'm afraid, but for your own protection, you should start to think different, to feel different...

milady, if you want, i could teach you how and what feel...
*soft smile*

Argothoth, my friend, why would I need to learn a new way to feel? I have been left alone by war, conquests, and battles. And my sincere hope is that sealing the Chastus portal and the Song will help bring about the end of Nephirthos, or at least diminish him, so I will not be driven completely to despair, as is his wish.

Yet, while I will not take you up on it at this time, I thank you for your offer. And wish to point out to our brethren that a truly evil deity would most likely not extend such to me.

Kadna, how's the view from there? It's difficult to tell if you are merely riding Argothoth's coattails or have actually put yourself somewhere a little more intimate, a cold and dark place that might make MV a little jealous.

Argothoth... It is sad. My husband put faith in you, and when it was your turn to repay that faith, you always found yourself with other priorities. Your true nature now shows clearly, and all your argument to the contrary will achieve nothing, I'm afraid.

Your bitterness is showing Hedra. I am surprised to see you joining the bickering and taking Ogoncho's pedantic tone with Argothoth. I venture to guess if my brother were here to witness your degradation, he would despair to hear you reduce yourself to such. Pray collect yourself.

I am mistaken. Apparently she's into that kind of thing. I'm certain Bhakti applauds it, though I must admit I find it a little nauseating.

And your actions would make him proud, Vam? I think we both know where my husband's feelings would lie in these issues. Your barbs will only work on O-gon-cho, and barely so, at that.

Simjen made his feelings about Argothoth quite clear to me before he left. A fair weather friend, he said. It seems Kadna isn't the only thing you and your ex have in common, Mistress Vam. Sharing equally, indeed.

Bitter? You have no clue.

Perhaps it is not the tin god I need to silence next. I think I might set my sights a bit further north. I may do you a favor Hedra. I may reunite you with your husband.

Have you ever considered, even for a second, silencing yourself, fool? I've seen claimants to the title of Eiran's Evilest Overlord come and go, but never one who ran on at the mouth so. I think you focused too much on the Nor Yekith chapter of Evil for Dummies. But even he let forth the occasional gleam of wisdom. For someone who claims to be a prime, you're incredibly derivative.

Do your worst, Kadna. I'm sorely in need of a good laugh.

For someone who values silence, you talk too much.

Where were you when brave Simjen was slain? Your support, opinions, and power certainly did not preserve him. I seem to remember the Pantheon chastising you universally for your support of Nor ... so of course you save your compliments for him. As I recall, the belief in your ability to judge and dispense justice fairly was doubted then. I see you talents have not improved.

I say this now. HOLD YOUR TONGUE! You are too small to have the right to address me. If you do not, I will RIP it from your head so that its noise will bother me no longer.

Oh in the name of the All-Father shut up. Your incessant prattling is infuriating. There are none here who are too small to address you, for by your actions you show yourself to be the smallest of all.

I talk too too much? I see now why Mox chose you for a lord. The irony is too rich to be anything but the grandest jest.

Where was I, you ask? Giving birth. And even then, I still gave more of my own strength to my husband than you gave of yours. Yet I believe this is not the first time you questioned the integrity of others in this matter. Where were you, brave one? What was your contribution, in this or anything else, that you should be so proud? I see nothing but the smoldering remnant of a once great city, that itself can't even be attributed to your own efforts. If you see compliments for Nor in my speech, then that is an indicator of how little I hold you in regard.

And look at you, stumbling over your words, shouting, and making faces. When I heard that MV was having a child, I'd assumed she was giving birth to one. But considering, it's no wonder your basic arithmetic is flawed. Even if you assumed your followers were equal to mine, you still have seven thousand less. No, don't bother; you couldn't count it even if you take off your shoes.

Just go away, Kadna. Wait for your hosts... I mean your betters... wait... "allies" you called them... Wait for your allies to do that which you cannot. In a battle of wits, you are severely outmatched against me. Your wife would be a suitable challenge, though her choice in husbands leads me to think it would end up being rather dissatisfying.

Mox, you look like the type who'd be interested in a drinking game. Let's say we each take a shot every time your master makes an empty threat. At least the end of the world will have a warm, fuzzy glow to it.

Wonderfully put, Hedra.

Since I am a betting woman, I lay all my money on you to win.

You pegged me right, I am a fan of games of most sorts. Though, if we were to be playing a game like that, I might need to be taking "Drunkeness" as my next area of divination!!!!

Dream on.

Oh, that's right. You are married to Mithyaat Vam. Perhaps she has cast the illusion of grandeur on you.

Yes! That must be it! No god so insignificant could think himself so great.

You are clever, Mithyaat! Very clever indeed. That is the best way to make an insecure male feel....good about himself.
i am witholding comment as i would rather not cause other gods to feel...well...less than adequate.
That's no way to speak of your own husband, Mithyaat. You will ruin the illusion that he is....er,..... bigger than he really is......

 goodness Jove! you ought to imagine, by now, that i'm not going to be satisfied supporting some male god's vanity!

ladies, i am chagrined i wasn't invited to this little hen party!
why if we're comparing attributes, the two aforementioned deities, i must tell you, suffice admirably!

Argothoth, my friend and former husband, has more power than any of you and wields more than a long enough reach to satisfy.
My Lord Husband Astavyas has risen in power quickly on all that bluster you're all so fussed about even as he lost accessibility to his own domains. He is hearty and stiff with resolution and his creativity never ceases to amaze!
i am gratified though, to know that you all feel the state of affairs in the world are such that you can afford to spend your time in speculation of my boudoir and where i keep my...head.
your concern for my satisfaction is charming.

i might remind you though, that thus far, in this world, i have acquiesced, to you and your followers, free reign in my realm. i have not bent dreaming to my will nor used my power to the extent i might. it seems to me that you do not know the value of the liberties i have allowed and i find myself...well...annoyed that i have, till now, been so benign and complacent in my studies.
i shall attempt to rectify.

As for my Husbands, rest assured they do love me well, and i them, which i'm sure will please Bhakti.

Perhaps it is time to cast off all pretence, and speak to the truth of these matters. It is painfully clear to all that your husband is not the great creature he believes himself to be. Any creativity that he has shown has come to him second hand. Perhaps it suits you well to simply give your husband ideas and allow him to take the repurcussions for his use of them, just as it suits Mox to sit behind Asta whispering in his ear, but sooner or later you and he will have to face up to things yourselves. Asta's weak-minded bluster makes him easy to manipulate, but it is bluster, and he will fall when true conflict arrives and he is outmatched.

Indeed, the same with me. I have never attempted to manipulate Love within the Hearts of any. The Bhakti's have always felt that Love should be freely chosen, or rejected, so I work in other ways.

However, I have lately been thinking along the lines of your unspecified threats. For example, the Darkheart removes all Love from whoever it touches. They would be left without passion or motivation, and would live a life of boredom, lacking in all accomplishments. Well, I have always had the power to do that. I could have done so to all evil deities' prophets. They would have a much more difficult time getting anything done if they had to get new prophets all the time. Or I could infect their followers with such Love and Passion that they never got out of bed. Again making it difficult for the deity to get things done.

Of course, if I did these kinds of things, I would be the evil one.
I am the self-fulfilling prophecy. Give love, and you WILL receive love. Let your every answer, your every action and reaction, your every desire, be rooted in love.

Rest assured, Mithyaat Vam, that I do rejoice that your second husband AK satisfies you well.

Otherwise, what good are husbands?
