Also also, in my previous turn results there was some stuff said that I won't go into, but that kind of got me thinking just now about the nature of the world and the people.
We're taking a strongly Native American kind of shamanic approach, which is shiny. But I imagine that several of us (even me, in some areas) are thinking of doing some of our improvements to our tribes as tech or modern organization theory changes stolen from the real-life world.
Things like building roads, economies of scale, socialism... not necessarily the invention of steal or gunpowder, but still very powerful things. However, are we supposed to consider all of these kinds of "modern" things as tied to the Evils? (The stuff in my turn sort of vaguely hints in this direction, but wasn't very strongly for or against it.)
So, I think that thematically, such a bias is AWESOME. However, what that means is that we as players are limited to more "spiritually" based things we can do... we can't give our people sonar-based fish detectors for better fishing catches... we give them some kind of meditative state and they just magically catch more fish. However... then we start coming up against the athiest test, which invokes a filter of our modern knowledge of the world as "right". Or at least "allowed".

You can assume a location, but not really a place. If you want a palace or whatever, you have to build it.
...does that also mean that NPC gods are there, and that by extension we can sort of "shout" to the universe and expect god XYZ to reasonably be able to hear it?
No. Other NPCs
might show up from time to time, but assume there's something special about you gods that prevents other gods from hearing what you say.
(Barring wierd circumstances, or that god choosing not to answer, is it reasonable to think we can just initiate conversation with NPC gods?)
Best to do that in your turn submissions. Of course, you have to know where the god is, so...
However, are we supposed to consider all of these kinds of "modern" things as tied to the Evils?
By themselves, no, though I would always pay attention to the connotation. You just happened to come across an Evil that has a technological aspect.

BTW... if Nyx ever dies, my next god will choose as his totem the Honey Badger.
Honey Badget don't give a shit.

That's why I was hoping I could just shout something in a forum with a reasonable expectation of my intended audience hearing me. But, oh well. I am the goddess of hunters. If I can't find someone, I need to get out of the kitchen.

Or back into the kitchen, to break the metaphor but also reference some equally distasteful misogyny.

Let's put the deadline for the next turn (and the Trial) on the 4th. I will begin processing on the 11th.
Also, please take a look at the rules on turn submissions. Some people aren't summarizing. Some people aren't listing holdings.

Thanks for starting it, Fist. An interesting direction. I didn't consider things like past/present/future, thinking more along the lines of seasons, days of the week, hours, etc., but it makes sense.

Just as soon as I get some time to do some creative writing (probably this weekend), Nyx will once again claim Night. But it's a fun logic path for how she gets there.
Sometimes failure is more interesting than success.

Cool. Just keep in mind, all, that unless you guys handle the seasons (why I suggested cooperation), there still might not be any.

Can we assign those to NPC deities? Or even attribute stuff to Evils? I have some ideas in this area, but didn't want to exceed my authority.

If no one proposes an alternative, sure. But if possible, I'd rather have players take it on.

Never bothered with that season stuff.
At first I thought Goat wanted to attribute it to Elvis.

Well, can we put in two different submissions? One for time and a different one for seasons, if we can only win one or the other?

Only one unless, as Goat suggested, you take responsibility for one and then write a story unrelated to yourself for another (if another player doesn't cover it).
I should also clarify what I meant by 'working together.' I always assume I'm more transparent than I suppose I am. In this case, I was particularly thinking of the story of Persephone (hence, involving the shared conflict between Hades and Demeter).
