Palehorse ~ Gee, That Ain't Swell... Truly the most evil-sounding music I have ever heard 8O

making a note of Palehorse

Try some Therion. It's not evil... it's just Viking heavy metal. It's good. But it's viking heavy metal. It has to be something like evil, but entirely different.

I've got Deggial... I'd say more Egyptian than Viking... The song Seven Secrets of the Sphynx is a dead giveaway :P

Palehorse are British, they have two bass players and no guitar. But somehow it works

Duchess, get Opium if u want Ottmar's really, really gorgeous NM stuff! :D It totally captures the spirit and beauty of the state in such songs as; la acequia madre, nuevo mexico, santa fe 2 chama and, of course, the return trip-chama 2 santa fe. (the 2s instead of tos are OL's--I stole my "computereze" from him, y'all..) With many other insanely cool songs and titles like serenity on ultracloud , bluedreamdrops and the blink of an i contains eternity8)

Reading this thread again reminded me - Syl, if you want some Viking metal, you should try Ensiferum. They have an unusual medieval sound to their music. I suppose the closest comparison I could make would be sort of like a medievalised Children of Bodom 8)

I found music by the guy from Blues Clues 8O - Steve Burns. I saw this interview on MTV with him and he was talking about how music was his first love and has a new album out. So I downloaded some songs and they are not half bad. The closest thing I can compare to is The Eels. Who would have thought there was an awsome musician hiding behind the big striped shirt and dorky hair?

I also rediscovered The Wall.

Would you like to see Britannia rule again, my friend?
All you have to do is follow the worms!

Joshie!!!!! Yes he does have an awesome voice......:D

Through the darkness,
I can see your light.
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine;
Your face I've memorised,
I idolise just you.......

*sigh*
A special someone sings this song to me every night. :)

However at the moment I am listening the TTT Soundtrack....and I have goosebumps. :)

He's so awesome Infelice. And I love how he and Charlotte Church do The Prayer. She has an awesome voice too. :)

I pray you'll be our eyes
and watch us where we go
and help us to be wise
in times when we don't know

Let this be our prayer
as we go our way
lead us to a place
guide us with Your grace
to a place where we'll be safe....

And this one is one of my favorites of his too...

Fly me up
To where you are
beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
to see you smile
if only for awhile
to know you're there
a breath away's not far
to where your are...

*runs to her CD player to put him on again* :)

Excellent times 10 to the 23rd power! My favorite album ever! I just listened through the whole 1st disc of the White Album while I was writing and now I'm taking a break, listening to Freebird, cause, well, it's Freebird.

We're just two lost souls
swim'n in a fish bowl
year after year
and how how we found
the same old ground
wish you were here.........

Gotta love it. One of my all time favorite songs. Can you play it on your guitar Lord Simian?

Heh, I wish (pun intended)! As far as my guitar talents go, I do jam incoherently during the Revolution 1 track on the White Album, but that's about it. I'm not good with guitars--just sorta strum 'em and all.
