Hi, I'm an overboseter.

My post count has gone up thanks to some Mallory's activity (mainly ff's fault) but as you can see I am still prone to prolixity. I think my average words per post is about 300 and even as I'm writing this I am beginning to feel the energy surge into my hands urging me to write and write and write and write. Help! I'll never be an overposter with this affliction!!!!!!!!

Hi, I'm an overposter.

Like I said, try 1-word games. And the copypasta ones.

Hi, I'm an overposter.

I'd better not make claims about that.

1. overposter
people you are friends with on facebook who post meanless things, join endless groups, take unnecessary quizzes and add pointless applications, thus clogging up your minifeed.

Hi, I'm an overposter.

"`I don't know what you mean by "glory,"' Alice said.

Humpty Dumpty smiled contemptuously. `Of course you don't - till I tell you. I meant "there's a nice knock-down argument for you!"'

`But "glory" doesn't mean "a nice knock-down argument,"' Alice objected.

`When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, `it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less.'

`The question is,' said Alice, `whether you can make words mean so many different things.'

`The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, `which is to be master - that's all.'"

And, really, the high authority of the Urban Dictionary

That's one of the problems of the overboseter. There is always excess, surplus, superfluity, fecundity, abundance, effluent, afflatus, preponderance, promiscuity, licentiousness, lickerishness, lascivity etc.

Not all my fault though. I didn't introduce the pie or the slinkiness. I just conscripted and conflated them

I'm a incorrigible overboseter.

I am not an overposter. I only post precisely the amount that is biopsychospiritualogically necessary to post for my continuing health and well-being, any appearance of overindulgence simply a natural rise in cyclical demand. Never an iota more, or less, despite any internal claims within said posts that I may be leaving some things out, or blathering too much.
I am concerned about the level of self-diagnosis and the inherent dangers thereof. For example:
ussusimiel wrote:There is always excess, surplus, superfluity, fecundity, abundance, effluent, afflatus, preponderance, promiscuity, licentiousness, lickerishness, lascivity etc.
Your exuberance is clear, however this does not indicate overposting, at least not in isolation, due to difficulties of consistency, coherence, paradox, and absurdity among other misapprehensions.
For instance, you begin with excess and proceed well initially in synonomic mode. But "excess fecundity" is, depending on hierarchical weighting, either redundant or self-negating. There are other examples of parallel qualitative errors. Yet this is not the only malapropriation of terms and/or methodological misdiagnosis.
Promiscuity, licentiousness, lascivity: all of these are. But the notion that they are too much is absurd, particularly in a contextual world. Take "promiscuity." One is promiscuous only in relation to "getting more than I do, and/or from people I wouldn't." And one is not nearly promiscuous if one stops short of my turn...one is then 'uptight' or 'hard to get.'
I've said too much. Or too little.
But exactly enough, for now.
I am not an overposter, after all. I am Goldilocks and the Watch Threads. Everything is just right.

Downy blesséd curse...

Resolved Question (Show me another »)

How long is a 400 to 600 word essay?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
if you use microsoft word you can go to the tools menu
and select word count as you are typing your paper. That way
you can see how much longer you need to go before you can finish.

I'm an overboser.

That's why Haiku are good for me. Pity there's not a Word tool for syllable count then I mightn't threaten the sanity of certain poets

Oh, dear. Are you an overposting enabler? I think there's an app for that.
