SUCCESS!! The Portal is sealed.

Your Favored and your soldiers travel to Chastus's portal in the middle of the Immeril desert; here, a scene of utter devastation welcomes you and Norn's people, as the terrain for miles around Chastus's Portal is scorched, warped and broken by the raging river of white-hot coldfire flowing endlessly from the portal, seeping into the earth and into the world of Eiran. HUNDREDS of the World Breaker's minions ward the portal, hiding amidst the white-hot fire - and they only reveal themselves when your armies approach! Each of them is easily worth ten of your soldiers or more - the battle turns into a bloody struggle for survival as the creatures incinerate or freeze everything in their path. Job watches his army being decimated, the Favored dying one by one before they can even reach the portal; in despair, he calls upon Norn to create the Living Seal, and even as more of Nephirthos's minions pour into the world through the portal, Norn's power reshapes the 87 remaining Favored into a great living crystal, which engulfs and contains Chastus's portal. The river of white-hot fire dwindles and dies; full of wrath, Nephirthos's minions destroy all the remaining soldiers, though some of them meet death too. Then, they turn to the Living Seal and attempt to destroy it, but the Seal resists their attacks - for now...

However, we must ensure it is not opened again!! I will dedicate a significant portion of my resources to destroying the minions who attack our seal! I will not have my 87 FAVORED's sacrifice be in vain!

My Turn does not point directly to you, but it hints that perhaps you interferred. Other than for strength, I know not why you would have interferred. You had proven trust in your oversight of my lands in previous Turns, and again as with others I learn that trust perhaps was misplaced. Does not Nephirthos concern you at all?

Feeling the power of many gods behind you, and the blessings of even more about you, you gather your skills and you begin to Sing. A strange, flickering movement plays at the edge of your vision for a moment, but then it is gone, and you pay no attention it, thinking it perhaps the power of a latecomer.
You begin to Sing, losing yourself in the Song as it pours forth of the essences and powers of all the gods of Eiran, casting it across the world, and onto the World Breaker himself, attempting to constrain him, to recreate that which he destroys. The Song dances over mountains and into valleys, flows through rivers and into the seas... it is a joyous moment, when all of Eiran is joined in Song against the World Breaker and his violation!
And yet - what is this?! Suddenly, you become aware that something is terribly wrong - the Song twists and writhes like a caged animal, disharmonies manifest themselves where none should be, a cacophony of sounds both shrill and grave that suddenly overtake your Song and pervert it, not going against its power but rather directing that power towards the abyss! You try to stop the Song, but it is too late - once embarked on this quest, you cannot stop until all is done, and you can only watch, horrified, as a Song of beauty and glory is twisted into a Screech of evil and madness, a Screech that rakes across Eiran and claws at the minds of mortals, sending them spiraling into madness, screaming endlessly in the dark corners of their cobwebbed minds! A Screech which does not harm the World Breaker - but rather, strengthens him, for it weakens the gods and their creations! With the final discordant note, the Screech is complete and the world of Eiran has changed, twisted upon its foundations; madness runs rampant, raving lunatics replacing ardent followers, throughout all the lands; the tingling bells of the Jester of Madness can be heard in the distance as he grows stronger by the moment with the effects of the Screech - and above it all, the withering laughter of Nephirthos, which scoured you to the bone when you first brought it into the world, once more echoes across all of Eiran...

Raucous, my beloved. Twice now you have been touched by the G-d of Madness. I will do what I can to return you to me.

On the plains of northern Landir, dismay filled the hearts of those who had not succumbed to the madness born of O-gon-cho's poisoned song, for they saw the light of Avenberry flicker violently. Their fears were stilled as the flickering ceased after a time and the tower shone as bright as ever before.

No such relief was to be found in the tower's topmost chamber. Gasping for breath, the Weaver fell to her knees. The portal that had once been Chastus was closed, although the lives of 87 of Astavyastataa Kadna's choden had been required to seal the breach. Yet how much longer the Fabric of Reality could remain intact?

Such things were far from Norn's mind however, for although Zeldalia was safe, still no word had been heard of Iris. Furthermore, the Goddess realised, the life that grew within her womb had not issued forth as it should have. Despite all the stress she had placed herself under, Norn's child remained unborn.

I knew not that you were expecting a birth this Turn, a third birth expected yet delayed, and double my thanks for you undertaking your efforts on behalf of all of Eiran so close to your delivery time. My hopes your unborn child suffered no ill effects from your efforts.

I endure, however, despite their efforts, but I am sorely weakened.
If I am to be destroyed, I will finish my time in this realm doing what I have always striven to do: driving out the sickness and suffering from the world.
I offer myself to you, my brethren. Though weakened still may I fight: send to me all of the strength that you can spare, and I will rid the world of the madness that has been cast upon it. I will drive it out, and leave the world cleansed of insanity. It is only fitting that I should end things thus.

I must ask for and receive advice before I decide how I shall attempt to undo the twisting of the Song. My power is also much weakened, and again I may need to turn to domain use over DRP. All the while, the madness of Raucous eats into my own soul through our bond...

Do you then admit instructing and/or encouraging your vassal to interfere with the intent of the Song? I would know where this interferance came from, if possible.

It is about your Song no longer. I intended the salvation of this world, and if I am not strong enough to accomplish that goal, I can at least relieve minds of the sickness that has been cast upon them. I am Health, and this madness it is my place to heal.

Thank you brother. For I know not what I could do to undo the interferance. It is my hope if the interference is nullified, that the original intent of the Song will assert itself.

In other matters, regarding the Chastus Portal. Was anyone informed if sealing it had any affect upon Nephirthos? For all I have heard is his laughter ringing in my ears and soul.

Then explain what you have done to show us all that you are still Chaos and Destruction. Any of us could have attacked Maeror, and I see that only as a show of your current domains. And by helping seal the Chastus Portal, have you not hopefully helped to restore the ORDER of your sister the Alpha back to Eiran?

As you well know, Astavyastataa Kadna, the amount of power I wield has always been of little concern to me. As long as my followers, and by extension Eiran, are well cared for, I am satisfied.

But you know not if he is diminished at all. Perhaps someone else has heard more regarding this.

Giving up my domain to a god who acts in such a way would be irresponsible and would serve only to cause further suffering to the people of Eiran both living and dead. One who allies themselves so easily with Madness and Suffering should be opposed at any cost. Even if you destroy me, you will never rule over the dead again.

Argothoth. An unprovoked attack to merely gain another deity's rightful domain is a violation of Law. I hereby declare that Argothoth and those who have helped him in this matter are guilty in the eyes of the Law. May Eiran and the Allfather deliver justice.
