Spacemen 3 'Come Down Easy'
from this album (which must have one of the best titles ever by a rock n roll band)...

and Spiritualized 'Why Don't You Smile Now' (don't forget to TURN IT UP!)

I heard a song in a pub. I'd never heard it before, and the combination of melody and vocal harmony made me gasp. Few songs win me over immediately.
A few weeks later I managed to find out what it was. It was 'Mykonos' by Fleet Foxes.
I'd heard of them but been deterred by the name. They seemed like they'd be very chart-soft-rock-pop. I was wrong. They're tuneful and accessible enough for that, but they have an artistry that's lacking in most chart-friendly music.

Both are excellent choices
I, myself, have been listening to their new album *gasp!* I particularly like this one:

And, for variety, I've also been listening to Keldian:

Right now, I'm listening to some crummy band called "Pink Floyd:

Ahh, the Scorpions. Another favorite band of mine.
Right now, "Cheers" just came on so, the song that I'm listening to
is telling me that there's a place where everybody knows my name.
Creepy.

I'm listening to my complete cd collection.
I bought an LG rw last year and only installed it a few months ago. And since, it's been driving me crazy. It wouldn't play cd's and would freeze up playing dvd's. I thought it was something in the system that needed tweeked and spent hours, days, months, searching for it. Eventually I had enough. I bought a Sony rw second hand the other day and it plays perfect. So the LG is a dud - faulty lazer, I suspect!
Anyway, my cd's are sounding like nothing before. I felt like I'd stepped into an other universe, the sound was that good!
I nearly passed out listening to 10 pearl jam!
My brains dribbled out my ears listening to Moonmadness, Camel.
90125, YES...LEVITATING!!!
