I'm a little worried about my copy. Even though I got a shipping email from Amazon, now when I go to my amazon account it is like the order doesn't exist. There is no record of it in open orders. It's like it disappeared. I can't get any tracking of it either.
Maybe they read the credits and didnt think you needed it :)

Same here Jenn. There's no record of my copy being sent in my Amazon account either. But I've definitely been charged for it. I'm sure it's just a glitch!

Well, maybe they needed to front the money for those they didn't order to fill all the preorders. Maybe they sold so many they didn't have enough money to pay for them all in the first place and that is why some of us have to wait an extra 10 days! 8O

Oh, mine has been sent (at least, that's what the email said).
We thought you'd like to know that we shipped your items, and that this completes your order.
But you'll get yours way earlier than mine. :)

Hmmm. . . disturbing. I went to my Amazon account last week and was surprised to find that I didn't order. Now, I KNOW I ordered. Anyway, I couldn't figure out what was up, so ordered it again. I hope I don't get charged twice, but at this point I don't care. Just as long as they send me two copies, that is!

I just got back from the Barnes and Nobles. They have 24 copies of Fatal Revenant. In the building. They just have no idea where they are. They've been searching for them for two hours, since some very angry rocksister came in and came close to breaking the Oath of Peace and bringing the store down in a Ritual of Desecration. I would have had some choice remarks for her (I wonder if "Groveller" could be considered a compliment,) but she had left.

Ummm...you guys...only very recent orders from Amazon show up on the track your order segment. If either of you ordered awhile back, you need to change the setting to the last six months or last year, and then it should show right up. :?

I picked mine up at BAM this morning and am now about 1/3 way through. Had to come up for air, besides, the dogs were hungry!

Sorry that so many of you have run into snags with Amazon. |G and hope all of you get your copies soon. I got fed up with Amazon years ago.
If I can't find something I want locally, I order from B&N or Borders.

I picked mine up from Borders after work. They have about a half dozen up front in the New Release stand. I had some things to do this evening, but now it's time to read. :)

No FR in my local book store. Boo.

But, since I didn't want to drive 5 minutes to the next town, and I didn't want to spend my money at a big, chain book store anyway, and since amazon.com seems to suck, I just had the small local book store order it for me. It should be here by Friday. Yay.

And I still get it earlier than the amazon people...heh.
you know, as I was saying to DLBPharMD on the phone earlier, in about 3 days we are all gonna say:
It's going to take me a *bit* longer than that..............heh.

And the THOOLAH reference on amazon.com is rather amusing....haha.

Anyway, happy reading, everyone.

Mine is on it's way from Amazon. And don't worry about it not showing up in "recent orders". It didn't show up in mine either, but then when you go to the menu and click on "orders for last 6 months" it was there with a tracking number. Only problem is...mine is coming USPS, which means I probably won't get it until next week sometime. :(

I wrote SRD about the lack of books from Amazon.com and he said this in response....
Dear Jenn--

In an oblique way, this is good news. When sellers (e.g. Amazon) have to reorder, that often means that publishers have to print more copies. This makes both the sellers and the publishers excited, since they typically have too many copies rather than not enough. In the end, excited sellers keep books in stock longer (the average book has a seller "shelf life" of three weeks (!)), so ultimately they sell more copies.

So Amazon screwing up and not ordering enough books is a GOOD thing. Knowing this I find myself much less whiny about the wait.

I just followed Wayfriend's example and called Amazon... it shows up in my list but still only says "Carrier has been notified." The woman I spoke with assured me it has been shipped.

Waiting w/ fingers crossed...

FYI: I cancelled my Amazon order and bought my copy at Borders today (30% off!)

It's not that I'm in a hurry, but I didn't appreciate being picked for the "you get your book two weeks after everyone else, just because" plan. They didn't deserve my business.

you've got a point there, Wayfriend...

hmmm..... :? Aww, oh well it's too late for me anyways.
